KeyBank is modernizing our financial business processes and expanding the use of Workday Financials. We are looking for Software Engineers to design and support Workday Prism, Accounting Center, Integration Tools, Workday application configuration, and data integrations to KeyBank applications


  • Acts as the Application Support Owner for Workday applications.
  • Owns the overall health, performance, and availability and actively works resolution of system and client experience impacts for one or more environments, applications, or platforms.
  • Owns the development, implementation, assessment, and support of one or more components of an environment, application, or platform.
  • Independently develops clean, maintainable, testable code for work assigned; performs peer code reviews.
  • Applies information security standards when developing code and seeks to validate.
  • Identifies better sources of data feeds and interfaces with architects to ensure their feasibility with corporate data warehouse, when needed
  • Creates sound and useable Technical requirements documentation and assists others in preparing the same
  • Creates Prototypes and can explain it to Business and other Technology resources
  • Leverages domain knowledge to provide additional capabilities that can be delivered within scope
  • Coordinates the correction of defects found in all testing cycles and assists other team members
  • Ensure requirements are traceable from original design to final deliverable by providing valuable input in a timely manner and providing a final sign off
  • Ensure the team completes unit testing cycles within expected defect tolerances and timeframes as established by ETS and Project Manager
  • Documents functions and changes to new or modified modules and test activities/results and other areas such as error handling and backup/recovery procedures
  • Oversees the creation of Technical requirements
  • Create appropriate System documentation and communicates it to the appropriate parties in a clear and timely fashion
  • Work closely with vendors to understand releases/patches and benefits to help determine the priority and timeframe for implementation.
  • Coordinates with Application Owners to prepare modules for production by moving them to libraries, completing forms, following procedures, completing version control documents, etc
  • Understands multiple methodologies, and applies techniques as appropriate to improve delivery team effectiveness
  • Working with vendors, technology and business users to setup and support transmission of data to and from the Cloud computing site, security and performance
  • Identify any concerns around architectural, infrastructure, and security policies and standards impacting large & small projects to PM or manager.
  • Sound analytical skills, ability to troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues and bring resolution to these issues in a timely manner
  • Provide leadership and oversight for critical incidents, as well as day to day issues/opportunities for all support items assigned. Address critical issues based on service level agreements
  • Provide escalation / communication to Management for high risk(s) issues related to Enterprise Business Functions Applications
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement ideas to reduce overall application cost of ownership (. i.e. remove redundant processing, obsolete code, apply testing automation tools, reuse – SOA, and being aware of and leveraging available technology).
  • Coordinate with vendors and lines of business partners the resolution of product issues.
  • Monitor applications for vulnerabilities and take appropriate action to mitigate risk of these vulnerabilities to Key.

  • 3-5 years of broad based Information Technology experience.
  • Working knowledge of Application Support; ability to monitor application functions and resolve issues to maintain system reliability.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to work with internal support teams, software vendor support teams, participate in projects, and work individually to accomplish tasks.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $59,300 to $110,100 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
