Job Description


In this role, you’ll be executing UX research and building insights and recommendations from the results, in order to help KeyBank innovate in the digital product space.

At KeyBank we are looking for curious and diligent research enthusiasts with a broad range of skills and a strong knowledge of methods. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable facilitating a client interview, building a clear presentation of research results, and delivering that presentation to senior leaders.


  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to lead the definition and implementation of research plans
  • Design, build, execute and analyze research studies to support various initiatives
  • Support ideation sessions between diverse groups and stakeholders to properly frame complex problems
  • Create mock-ups and prototypes to support user research and communicate interaction and design ideas and direction
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of research
  • Contribute to ideation sessions supporting the Digital Product portfolio
  • Support the presentation and defense of designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve and optimize research programs at KeyBank.

  • Ideation in collaboration with other members of the extended product team

  • 3-5 years in the User Experience field with an emphasis on user research in digital environments
  • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Industrial Design and/or other adjacent areas may be substituted for some professional experience
  • Proficiency in and knowledge of current best practices in user research
  • Ability to set at ease a diverse population of users, both in-person and remotely.
  • Willingness to experiment, learn from failure, and iteratively improve.
  • Ability to communicate results effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process, and collaborating with engineers, UX designers, and product managers.
  • Working knowledge of software, web and/or mobile front-end technologies
