Job Brief:

The Transformation Strategy Analyst role will assist the Retail Transformation team in developing go forward strategic initiatives within the program, and quantifying and articulating the value that is being created from the program actions. The role will assist in supporting the team through day-to-day activities, such as analysis of current state retail environment, estimating and tracking future impact, drafting management reports, and producing executive presentations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop deep understanding of current state of retail operating environment, and quantify (e.g., time spent by branch staff, expense of activity, etc.) areas of environment that are in scope of Retail Transformation improvement actions. Examples include:
  • Analysis on client trends
  • Financial analysis of expense allocations
  • Branch time study on select activities
  • Correlation of sales activates to results
  • Partner with back office teams to understand effort to support various processes
  • Leverage understanding of current state to partner with project leadership to quantify expected value creation from strategic initiatives across the program
  • Deeply understand current-state performance of branch and ATM networks (branch profitability, relative deposit performance vs. competition, sales measures vs. transactions, market effectiveness measures, sales and service utilization metrics, site, branch, and market scoring and attractiveness measures, off-us ATM transactions, etc.) related to critical client / distribution variables and real-estate profile of the network
  • Support development of an analytically-driven, top-down strategy to define and recommend ideal branch and ATM network size at the Network, Region and Market levels to optimize financial and client objectives.
  • Integrate data and analytics from multiple sources; external and internal clients, market research and data, FDIC, other government agencies and land developer sources.
  • Validate market growth assumptions against forecasts and drive recommended decisions with a fact-based approach.
  • Provide transparency to Retail Transformation commitments, performance and impact
  • Update and maintain Retail Transformation performance scorecard and reporting (partner with team leads to develop KPIs, Finance / analytics to create)
  • Monitor and summarize existing client relationship performance - segments, products, services, engagement

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong analytical though process and skills
  • Very strong and proven organizational and client service skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Advanced PC skills including Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow through on assignments, solve problems, and make decisions
  • Adept at interacting with senior executives; willing to provide assistance proactively or upon request
  • Flexible, adaptable; willing to embrace change
  • Advanced experience and knowledge of
    • Data Visualization Tools : Tableau & Cognos
    • Structured Query Language (SQL)
