ABOUT THE JOB

Provide support to department manager and associates to ensure accurate and timely completion of corporate action, income, and asset maintenance & pricing functions. Maintain internal controls and lead projects to streamline and improve department processes.

Corporate Actions and Income Processing support the corporate action, class action, proxy, dividends, and fixed income functions for the Key PrivateBank and Institutional Advisory Services. Asset Maintenance supports the set up, maintenance, and pricing of securities on our custody system. These departments are expected to ensure a high level of client service while also ensuring that risks to the organization are mitigated.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the end-to-end corporate actions and income processing functions including statistics gathering, scorecard reporting, and overall system capabilities. Use system and process expertise to support the activities of the department.
  • Responsible for ensuring completion of daily departmental processing functions. Performs monitor, review, and control functions for Corporate Actions/Income Processing and Asset Maintenance departments to minimize client impact and risk to the bank.
  • Proactively identify and independently resolve issues of a complex or sensitive nature identified through review of daily processing and/or Line of Business inquiries.
  • Train new employees or existing employees learning new functions. Provide appropriate feedback during training to ensure that employees are learning the proper processes and achieving the expected level of performance.
  • Identifies, initiates, and develops process improvements opportunities. Is instrumental in working with department leadership team to implement process improvements.
  • Assists manager with production and strategic planning. Provides associate performance feedback to management.
  • Lead projects for new processes or process improvements to ensure successful implementations. Monitor and track all of the team’s initiatives and partner with management to achieve the department’s strategic goals.
  • Positively represent the team and the organization to Line of Business partners, as well as in client interactions. Assist in the development of positive relationships between the team and Line of Business partners by exhibiting a professional manner on a daily basis.
  • Monitors, tracks and reviews written procedures. Responsible for the review process to ensure procedures are updated to reflect current operating standards, regulatory requirements and department internal controls.
  • Manage time effectively and balance workload to meet required deadlines by exhibiting the ability to multitask and refocus on numerous processes simultaneously.
  • Acts as backup to department manager for daily production activities. Time and attendance and vacation tracking for department.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Four-year degree in business with a concentration in finance, accounting or management or equivalent work experience.
  • Three to five years of securities industry experience is necessary.
  • Strong leadership and communications skills demonstrated in a team-based business setting. Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Sound business judgment as evidenced by success in ability to prioritize tasks, escalate and resolve issues and meet required deadlines.
  • Quality focused, with the ability to develop and foster an environment of accountability and ownership.
  • Strong work ethic. High energy and drive.
