Essential Job Functions

The Consumer Credit Modeling & Analytics Team within Risk Modeling & Analytics department of Finance at KeyBank is looking for a Sr. Quantitative Modeling Associate to develop and implement strategy reporting and performance dashboards for Keybank deposit, consumer credit and credit card portfolios. In addition, the analyst will be responsible for aggregating data and assembling data sets to facilitate strategy analytics, modeling and ad hoc analysis. The successful candidate will be able gather, summarize, and transform data pertaining to originations, underwriting, and credit performance across consumer portfolios. This position will include project management responsibility to manage several projects at once, while coordinating with quantitative managers, analysts, and business partners to understand requirements.

This individual will also support ad hoc analytics and reporting requests from line of business partners as well as 2nd line of defense partners such as Credit Risk. In addition, the analyst will be responsible for streamlining and standardizing department reporting as well as asset quality materials, and for creating product-level origination and performance dashboards using Tableau.

Required Qualifications


  • Five to ten years of experience in financial services industry, background in consumer credit risk management and originations/underwriting
  • Master’s degree in business, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related quantitative field
  • Excellent data management skills and proficiency with various data tools such as SAS and Cognos
  • Demonstrated knowledge of consumer lending products and consumer credit metrics
  • Excellent decision making and problem solving skills with proven results
  • Superior project management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with data analysis software (SAS, SAS EG, Cognos, Python)
  • Proficiency with structured query language (SQL) programming
  • Proficiency with Tableau or other data visualization software
  • Ability to evaluate and process data independently with limited support
  • Accomplished self-starter with excellent organization skills

Training Provided
Internal and External training classes provided as needed.

*Grade level will be determined based on education and experience.
