About the Job Serve as integral member of the client management team using virtual distribution methods. Assist channel in serving as the clients trusted advisor for merchant services solutions in order to develop, manage, and retain profitable client relationships. Take accountability for and contribute to the team’s portfolio growth.

Essential Job Functions:

Sr. Merchant Services Cross Sales Specialists focuses on growing client relationships with card processing needs. Serves as a member of the Merchant Client Servicing team, virtually working as a trusted advisor with partners and clients across Key’s footprint, providing recommendations and solutions to help businesses achieve their goals. May resolve client issues and execute appropriate action. Partners with various functional groups and lines of business throughout the bank for sales opportunities. The Sr. Merchant Services Cross Sales Specialists reports to the Head of Merchant Client Servicing.

-This role will add value to current merchant services relationships through cross selling additional products
-Present and sell additional merchant payment processing (including Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, MasterCard, check processing, gift cards, ACH) and the corresponding hardware and software products to small and medium size businesses.
-Consult with prospective businesses in identifying the proper value added payment product solution to meet the business needs.
-Identify merchant's other banking needs and work with available KeyBank resources to deliver solutions that meet those needs by referring to other business areas
-This position requires developing a strong understanding of what is needed for existing clients for new revenue growth and developing and maintaining relationships with existing accounts and banking centers
-Handle basic servicing requests with hand off to retention partners as appropriate
-Assist developing additional cross call campaigns


Required Qualifications

-Bachelor's Degree or similar work experience
-Minimum 2 years customer service experience
-Proven track record of success in a client focused environment with aggressive sales / service goals
-This team will be responsible for covering business in all Key regions (Maine to Alaska). We will be hiring for shifts of 8:00am – 5:00pm and 11:00am – 8:00pm

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

-Previous experience in banking and/or cash management
-Proven success in over the phone sales Knowledge of the complete cash/treasury management solutions set and ability to effectively utilize consultative and strategic solution selling skills and deliver products and services based on identified value proposition
