We simplify the process for both borrowers and bankers, while increasing choices of products, improving tracking, and offering a positive banking experience.

Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Public Relations & Brand Marketing is responsible for hands-on leadership of a growing brand and will play a central role in both strategy development and program/campaign execution for public relations and brand marketing initiatives. This leader will oversee and manage day-to-day activities with our public relations agency, including media relations materials, press relationships across trade, business and consumer-facing media; special marketing programs; and creative brand partnerships and campaigns. This role also will consult on social marketing opportunities, including influencer relationships. This is an individual contributor role with an opportunity to grow into larger strategic responsibilities, including to occasionally serve as a spokesperson for Laurel Road.

The Senior Manager, Public Relations & Brand Marketing will report to the Senior Vice President, Head of Brand & Strategic Partnerships and will play an important role on the Marketing & Customer Experience team.
** This is an individual contributor role and will not have direct reports.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Measurably and substantially grow our brand awareness, favorability and business
  • Ensure our brand story is authentically told to a broad audience through compelling content, brand partnerships and press relationships
  • Deliver regular reporting to highlight PR KPIs to strategic stakeholders
  • Evaluate earned media opportunities, partnerships and other sponsorships
  • Utilize knowledge of current industry trends to make relevant communication recommendations
  • Serve as main point of contact with compliance partners to ensure approvals of consumer-facing materials
  • Deliver programs on-time and on-budget

Education/Experience Requirements

  • 10 years of public relations experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated PR program management experience
  • Executive presence and prior experience as media relations spokesperson
  • Experience with social marketing a plus
  • Experience working with compliance teams in a regulated industry a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial services and/or healthcare industry a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree required; A degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or related field (strongly preferred)
  • Experience in the financial sector preferred, FinTech a plus

IMPORTANT DETAILS

  • While we are working remotely until at least January 2021 to ensure the health and safety of our team. The role is based in New York City and is not remote long-term. Actual return to office date is TBD.
