General Job Requirements:

  • Translates client requirements to technical specifications, and works with technical team to design, test and implement projects.
  • Able to manage interests of multiple stakeholders with diverse backgrounds, perspectives and priorities.
  • Understand and process changes to production applications and models (hierarchies, translation tables, parameters, data loads, security, reports, etc.).
  • Research complex data, people and process issues.
  • Performs data and process validation during testing and production phases of projects and ongoing work efforts.
  • Provides client support throughout testing and production phases of projects and ongoing work efforts.
  • Participate simultaneously on multiple work efforts and high priority activities.
  • Maximize the use of automated technology to achieve the highest level of quality and efficiency in the support of the financial systems.

    Specific Job Requirements:

  • Business Flows reporting support which is heavily utilized by ALM for assumption development as well as the lines of business finance. Redevelopment of the Business Flows cube as appropriate.
  • Support expanded role of QRM in line of business forecasting (Finance Transformational Forecasting Project).
  • Improvement in current and future FTP Forecasting capabilities, including a deep dive into data supporting the current and future process
  • Support for the QRM Development projects including redeveloping data feeds, data improvement and documentation, development and maintenance of new data warehouse (MR).
  • Ongoing data improvement and development resulting from changing data sources (Aspire Leasing, MSP mortgage, OBP applications, etc.).
  • Ad hoc analysis to support ALM and other general Treasury data needs
  • Play an expanded and leading role of QRM in other Treasury functions (plans to explore Liquidity forecasting, improvements to current ALM modeling).
  • Redevelopment of data feeds to replace dependency on EDW as a data source.
  • Lead and participate in annual system upgrades.

Required Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Finance, Information Technology, Accounting or Related Field).
  • 7+ years of analytical experience in Finance, Business or Related Field preferred
  • Strong financial and/or accounting or asset liability management acumen.
  • Database querying and data transformation expertise (i.e., Excel, Access, DB2, SQL).
  • Knowledge of KeyBank systems, both legacy product accounting and other supporting or reporting systems such as data warehouses or data marts.
  • Knowledge of data mining concepts and approaches.
  • Experience dealing with complex and large data sets from multiple sources to support analytical processes.
  • Quantitative, analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Interest, willingness and ability to assimilate information quickly and succinctly.
  • Action oriented; takes initiative to challenge current processes and implement change.
  • Organized self-starter with the ability to think and work independently and creatively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to work and communicate with personnel at all levels in the Corporation, including Finance and Technology professionals and executives of different and varied level of backgrounds.
  • Ability to understand and interpret client requests/needs, and respond to questions with clear and effective answers, and give cohesive presentations.
  • Proven team player, willing to assist others as needed to ensure that group deadlines are met and quality standards are achieved.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in using analytical tools (DB2, SQL, Visual Basic, SAS (EG), Tableau and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
  • Experience working with financial system reporting environments (i.e., IBM TM1 or Cognos, Essbase, Oracle, QRM, etc.).
  • Experience working with various ETL tools (MS Access, Abinitio, etc.).
  • Experience as a QRM systems administrator or business analyst.
  • Hands on experience with database compilation and analysis.
