About the Business
The open Senior Financial Analyst opportunity within the Key Banking Group Finance Team, focuses on supporting the Key Bank Enterprise Payments Segment. Primary responsibilities include;

  • Providing accurate and insightful financial reporting
  • Coordinating and participating in segment financial forecasting and planning
  • Conducting ad-hoc financial performance analysis to assist the segment in understanding drivers behind profit & loss outcomes
  • Assisting the segment in daily financial management activities
  • Consulting the segment to more broadly understand internal and external financial reporting implications and connecting segment level financial performance to Key Corp financial operating plans

Essential Job Functions
Works closely with the Enterprise Payments product, sales and service teams to:
  • Complete & Communicate monthly/quarterly analysis of financial results and performance to targets
  • Provide information related to business initiatives & drivers of favorable and unfavorable performance. Including but not necessarily limited to economic capital, loan loss allowance, and non interest income and expense drivers
  • Provide proactive ideas, advice, and financial modeling
  • Provide guidance and act as liaison between line of business segment and selected partners, relative to financial performance. Partners include but are not limited to, accounting, human resources, marketing, technology and other line of business segments.
• Provide financial guidance and support the business by supporting financial evaluations of proposed projects and investments via the following activities; gathering assumptions, making financial projections, measuring profitability, projecting IRR/ROE/ROA.

• Maintain and update organizational hierarchy structure (i.e. cost centers, areas, regions) that best reflect the management of business and facilitates reporting

• Provide research on miscellaneous items as necessary

• Partners with Segment Finance Director and Business/Product Leaders, Planning and Performance Management, Treasury, Accounting, and Credit on daily, monthly, and quarterly tasks
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree (Finance, Accounting or related field)
  • 5+ years of analytical experience in Finance, Business or related field
  • Experience with Oracle Essbase platform preferred
  • Organized self-starter with the ability to think and work independently and creatively
  • Strong financial and/or accounting acumen
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish solid working relationships with multiple teams and individuals with varying levels of expertise
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in project management/proven ability to lead cross functional team projects
  • Proven team player, willing to assist others as needed to ensure that group deadlines are met and quality standards achieved
  • Ability to manage time and multiple tasks effectively
  • Detail oriented with the ability to thoroughly analyze and resolve issues with limited direction


Preferred Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access and PowerPoint)

Experience working with financial system reporting environments (i.e., IBM TM1, Cognos, Tableau, Oracle Essbase/Balance Sheet Planning etc.)
