Position Title: Senior Client Insights Consultant

Job Brief (Purpose):
As part of the Data, Analytics and Client Profitability team within Corporate Finance, responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, (1) Supporting the development, implementation, testing, documentation and on-going validation of financial reporting and data processes in RPF (OFSAA) and RPH (BSP/Planning), and (2) Creating and managing processes used to develop system interfaces, hierarchies, and other control information in the above financial systems.


Essential Job Functions:
• Develops thorough understanding of foundational financial systems and works to configure them to support reporting in RPH and RPI.
• Translates client requirements to technical specifications in the appropriate format and level of detail, and works with technical team to design, test and implement projects.
• Support financial systems production applications and models effectively and on a timely basis.
• Understand and process changes to production applications and models (hierarchies, translation tables, parameters, data loads, security, reports, etc.).
• Research and help to resolve sometimes less than straight-forward issues.
• Performs data and process validation during testing and production phases of projects and ongoing work efforts.
• Review and process data throughout the month to help ensure that client requirements are satisfied.
• Works to continuously improve production validation and other processes.
• Provides client support throughout testing and production phases of projects and ongoing work efforts.
• Participate simultaneously on multiple work efforts and high priority activities.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive control policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of the financial reporting process.
  • Maximize the use of automated technology to achieve the highest level of quality and efficiency in the support of the financial systems.


Required Qualifications/Competencies:
• Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Information Technology or related field).
• 7+ years of experience in Finance, Systems, Business or Related Field.
• Foundational financial and/or accounting acumen.
• Strong aptitude to database querying and data transformation tools (i.e., Oracle, DB2, Teradata, SAS, SSIS, Visual Basic).
• Experience working with financial system reporting environments (i.e., OFSAA, OBIEE, Hyperion, TM1, etc.).
• Experience as a systems administrator or business analyst.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
• Action oriented; takes initiative to challenge current processes and implement change.
• Attention to detail in documenting and implementing requirements.
• Interest, willingness and ability to assimilate information quickly and concisely.
• Organized self-starter with the ability to think and work independently and creatively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish solid working relationships with multiple teams and individuals with varying levels of expertise.
• Proven team player, willing to assist others as needed to ensure that group deadlines are met and quality standards achieved.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Relational and/or OLAP database experience.


Preferred Skills:
• Testing and test management experience related to software and processes.
• Proficiency in process mapping techniques.
• Experience in banking and/or financial industry.
