Job Description

• Underwrite large structured complex transactions ($25mm -$100mm) originated via KCBSFL’s originations team
• Add-value by making (appropriate) recommended changes to transaction structures, including alternative financing options, in support of origination, credit underwriting and ultimate syndication
• Maintain active client dialogue
• Analyze financial statements, model cash flows, establish risk ratings, undertake due diligence at client locations, and prepare credit evaluations
• Review and approve facility documentation prior to execution
• Monitor and manage portfolio performance, perform annual reviews and prepare recommendations for covenant waivers, amendments, etc.
• Maintain strong asset quality within the KCBSFL portfolio
• Ensure compliance with KEF and KeyCorp policies
• Participate in special projects, as necessary
• Travel, as required

• Bachelors Degree (preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar)
• Minimum 10 years credit underwriting experience with 2+ years (5 years preferred) underwriting experience covering large complex transactions
• Experience must include one or both of:
• lender finance
• structured finance
• Strong oral & written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong working relationships across functional departments, including peers, sales leaders, operations, legal, structuring, asset management, syndications and external clients
• Working knowledge of rating agency methodologies for structured finance products
• Practical understanding of the core concepts behind structured products
• Strong leadership and management skills

• MBA or CPA Preferred.
• Knowledge of KeyBank Credit process
• Securitization experience
• Asset-based lending experience
• Exposure to capital markets/syndicated transactions
• Equipment leasing experience
