Job Description Summary:

The Senior Specialist will be responsible for the completion of all aspects of the REO loan closing process from Initiation to Sale. This will include reviewing title commitments, marketing plans, closing packages, working with asset management companies, signing agents, closing offices and attorneys. Candidate must be able to strategically apply resolution logic to meet required compliance, quality, costs, and timeframe needs.

Job Description:
As part of the Real Estate Owned team, specialists are responsible for but not limited to:

o Update the System of Record and transfer the asset from Foreclosure/Deed In Lieu/Sr Lien sales to AMC/Auction
o Supply financial transfer information to the internal accounting team per procedure
o Work with external Attorney to monitor the recordation of the Deed
o Partner with the Property Preservation Team to prepare the asset for sale ready condition
o Review Real Estate Title for any problems that may affect sale and work with AMC to clear any issues
o Reviewing Valuations for Fair Market Value
o Reviewing Broker submitted Marketing Plan
o Decisioning List Price Reductions based off AMC Broker feedback and review for potential change in marketing strategy
o Acceptance or denial of submitted offers on assets per procedure
o Preparation of the closing package for execution per procedure
o Work with the AMC for receipt of sales proceeds
o Review and disposition any Code Violations/Government official escalations either from the AMC or internal mail
o Recurring Servicer Performance Calls
o Review the REO Mailbox daily to respond to any inquiries or REO related documents
o Investor related tasks
o Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting review to oversee the timely movement of assets through REO
o Review your portfolio monthly to ensure proper timelines and milestones are being achieved to sell the REO asset

Prior Work Experience/Training Required:
REO Asset Management
Investor Guidelines as it pertains to Real Estate Owned properties
Cost Analysis
Vendor Relationship Management
Advanced Microsoft Excel

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or Work Experience Equivalent
