ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)

Responsible for leading a team of credit assistants as a backup to the Manager in a highly demanding production environment with time sensitive transactions. The position supports and contributes to the team in the completion of consumer loan processing tasks and is a mid-level individual contributor. The Senior Specialist will use independence of thought, form a strong basic understanding of the specific product or process and refer more complex problems to supervisors or other experts. Responsible for providing superior client services, following established guidelines while maintaining compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures and controls. Develop and mentor staff for a strong, reliable, and highly motivated team. Provide a learning environment with productivity and quality standards that supports recognition and development for employees, while contributing to work flow or process change and redesign. Proactively lead team in identifying and resolving issues as well as independently working to resolve moderate to occasionally complex problems/transactions. Exhibit strong executional capabilities. Partner with other departments, LOB’s, credit analysts, and management to allow achievement of company goals. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Be proficient at operation team job functions/duties.
  • Develop and manage employee progress daily through various reports to measure individual and team production performance.
  • Complete audits on each employee weekly, track results, and provide monthly reports to management.
  • Monitor systems to ensure that team is meeting current service levels as agreed upon by management.
  • Monitor work queues within KeyView Deluxe in order to maintain proper turn around times.
  • Complete other miscellaneous job functions or projects as assigned by Department Manager.
  • Attend meetings as scheduled and conduct weekly team meetings as required in the absence of the Department Manager.
  • Provide input for team members yearly Performance Review.
  • Answer customer’s basic questions and inquiries
  • Prioritize work for self and team

  • Prepare and maintain team procedures
  • Partner with Loan Services, Branch and/or Vendor Management Companies

  • Ability to work hours between 8 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. and/or weekend shifts on a rotating basis.
  • Ability to work overtime hours as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Detail oriented.
  • Understanding of consumer loan products.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum 3 years Consumer Lending experience desirable.
  • High school diploma or GED, post secondary degree, and/or training desirable.
  • BA in business or related field or job experience equivalent.
