Job Description

This role is responsible for performing all functions carried out by the operational unit, demonstrating mastery of most functions in the unit, The Senior Specialist is considered the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and is looked at as a leader within the unit; providing direction to less tenured staff and training to those new to the department or functional unit. In addition to the responsibilities noted above this role will also have functional responsibilities specific to each unit. Senior Specialist will process indirect loan packages and contracts while overseeing others in a similar function. This includes researching missing documentation, tracking and resolving issues with multiple loans at one time.

  • Maintain integrity of reporting and documents within specific group.

Leadership & Teamwork:
  • Provide additional tools to team members to enable them to meet their productivity goals
  • Assist management with the delegation of workload duties among employees to help ensure the work flow is processed timely and efficiently.
  • Work well within a team and help to create a positive team environment.
  • Examines work in progress to ensure accuracy and timeliness and appropriately communicated any issues to management.
  • Work collaboratively with other areas of the bank.
  • Assist in training of other team members.
Customer Service:
  • Develops and maintains customer /dealership relationships.
  • Considered the subject matter expert (SME); the associate would have mastery level access on most job processes within the operational unit.
  • Resolve problems, ensuring management is in agreement with non-routine resolutions.
Operational Effectiveness:
  • Carrying out and attaining the mission and the goals of the business unit
  • Process daily work; maintain compliance with rules and regulations, with attention to bank policy, procedures and regulatory deadlines.
  • Help ensure department procedures are written, available, and current
  • Recommend changes or alternate ways in processing methods to allow improved operating efficiency and service levels.
  • Troubleshoot problems and take a proactive approach to prevention.
  • Assist or help manage special projects
  • Involved in acquisitions and divestitures (i.e. due diligence, data mapping, and mock conversions) as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant and applicable internal and external rules, regulations, and policies that govern this position. Operate in a manner that is in strict alignment to KeyBank’s Code of Ethics policy.

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum 3-5 years of Customer Service experience required


Requirements /Competencies
  • Must be able to work flexible work schedules, including weekends and holidays. Business travel may be required. Availability to work Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and additional days of the week and additional hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
Some college/university coursework or Associates Degree are preferred.
Minimum 3 - 5 years of Banking Operations experience is preferred.
