The Senior Lead Auditor position is within the third line of defense, which is responsible for providing an independent and objective perspective on KeyCorp’s processes and risks through assessment and testing of the adequacy and effectiveness of Key’s risk management policies and practices, and adherence to laws and regulations.
The Senior Lead Auditor on the Consumer Compliance team will be responsible for leading audit projects with a primary focus on consumer compliance topics as they relate to both deposit and lending products. The Consumer Compliance team offers work life balance through limited to no travel, flexible schedules and the potential to telecommute. The Consumer Compliance team also promotes professional development growth through supporting the pursuit of relevant certifications (see below).
The Senior Lead Auditor should have the ability to work in a productive, collaborative, and cooperative way with a variety of individuals.
Essential Job Functions:
The Senior Lead Auditor will be responsible for the following:
- Leading large or complex audits and projects.
- Independently documenting walkthroughs, including identification of risk and controls.
- Documenting testing performed in accordance with IIA and internal standards.
- Documentation and communication of audit findings.
- Preparing audit reports.
The Senior Lead Auditor should possess the following skillsets:
- Knowledge of, or desire to learn, consumer compliance regulatory requirements; experience in Consumer Compliance preferred.
- Independent ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to build relationships with clients and teammates.
- Ability to guide staff and deliver feedback.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute to an organizational culture of respect and personal accountability regarding Diversity and Inclusiveness.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 4+ years of experience
- Relevant certification(s) strongly preferred. These would include:
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
- Certified Financial Crimes Specialist (CFCS)
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
