ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)

The Sr HR Business Partner (Sr HRBP) is typically an individual contributor role reporting to a HRBP Manager or HR Director (HRD). The Sr HRBP will work as an integral member of the leadership teams of assigned client group to translate business priorities into people strategies to drive organizational effectiveness and performance. This role partners with senior level leaders, but can support executive management. The Sr HRBP leverages business and industry insights to manage the design, development and delivery of HR programs in concert with the goals of the business.

This role is responsible for defining and aligning the talent strategy, improving organizational performance and developing capabilities that deliver business results. The Sr HRBP partners with and leads Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver solutions to clients. This individual demonstrates thought leadership across HR- bringing external thinking and insights to bear. The Sr HRBP strategically assesses talent, compensation, performance, employee engagement and change management needs and aligns multiple HR levers to design holistic solutions that achieve desired results and impact business outcomes.

Success criteria include: proven leadership ability with a keen focus on effective execution, strong business/financial knowledge, solution-focused with ability to proactively offer strategic recommendations, influential coaching and consulting, established reputation and track record as an effective and collaborative partner and ability to leverage data to generate insights to support decision making.


Essential Job Functions

Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of HR services to assigned business team(s). Implements human resources programs, partnering with Centers of Excellence (COEs), to provide human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, training and development, and employee relations and retention.

Serves as integral business partner to the leadership of a business or function, consulting and influencing leaders on strategic decisions related to their business and how human capital strategies can support execution, while helping to lead change management initiatives.

Partners with business leaders to anticipate and identify the HR needs and priorities of the line of business (LOB) or function.

Responsible for designing and implementing the Workforce Plan for each assigned business team. Provide thought leadership across the entire employment lifecycle: from recruiting through separation, to ensure that all of the HR services delivered are of high quality, are timed well and complement one another.

Provide consultation & advice to business leaders on individuals and teams to improve productivity and overall organizational effectiveness.

Recruiting: partner with business leaders, finance and recruiters to develop the overall recruiting plan. Participate in candidate review and interviews for senior level hires. Drive quality of hire and successful onboarding to productivity.

Training: ensure that the training plans are well defined and executed for the assigned business team(s), for new hires and existing staff. Drive individual and team performance through continuing education and readiness for upcoming change.

Talent Management: lead talent and leadership development activities (e.g. performance management, leader succession planning, individual development planning, executive coaching, etc.) within the enterprise talent management framework. Improve the bench strength of the assigned business team(s), the retention of top talent, and the usage of defined succession plans.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: partner with the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team to educate assigned business leader(s) and team(s) on the importance of diversity & inclusion and provide input to, and assist in the execution of, the plans to improve/manage the diversity of the assigned team(s)

Employee Engagement: create leading strategies to align employees to business objectives, enable them to perform with the right tools/technologies/process, facilitate a culture of empowerment and achievement and recognize results

Compensation: partner with business leaders, finance and compensation to develop sound compensation strategies that attract, reward and retain talent. Manage implementation of those strategies through offers to new hires, as well as differentiating pay (base + incentives, as applicable) for performance of existing employees through the annual performance / compensation cycle.

Employee Relations: partner with business leaders, employee relations consultants, and corporate security to manage complex cases. For less complex matters, ensure that the assigned business team(s) leverage our Employee Relations Solutions Team effectively.



Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Five years of experience in management consulting, HR, or a similar field
  • Teamwork – demonstrated ability to collaborate with others and work constructively to accomplish goals
