Job Description

This position will provide financial business support for various groups in the Key Technology, Operations & Services (KTOS) organization. The individual will report to a Finance Manager and will be responsible for designing, developing and producing financial reporting and analysis to serve our business clients and assist in cross functional activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Support the KTOS month-end close process by preparing month end accruals and prepaids to ensure financial accuracy in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare month end reporting and variance analysis to plan & forecast to provide insights into financial performance
  • Complete Business Unit Reviews in partnership with KTOS senior leaders
  • Prepare financial plans and forecasts for various groups within KTOS. Partner with KTOS leaders to understand their business and create accurate, driver-based forecasts
  • Perform financial analyses to identify areas for financial performance improvement. Effectively communicate results, insights, and recommendations to the KTOS Finance team and KTOS Leadership team
  • Develop trusting relationships with business partners and act as strategic advisor in business decisions
  • Maintain consolidated views of savings, risks, and opportunities to ensure that KTOS business partners are meeting performance targets
  • Assist in the development/maintenance of technology cost transparency tools and facilitate buy/sell discussions at the KTOS Senior Leadership level, where appropriate
  • Maintain and enhance dashboards highlighting project spend/outlook for technology investment initiatives
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and assist in developing meaningful benchmarking analysis, where appropriate
  • Actively participate in special projects and other requests as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA/CPA a plus
  • 5+ years of analytical experience in Finance, Business, or related field
  • Experience providing decision support and building client relationships

Technical/Business Acumen:
  • Strong financial and/or accounting acumen
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • MS Office with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; Tableau experience a plus
  • Financial modeling and reporting using financial systems (Hyperion, Essbase, IBM TM1, Workday, Cognos)
  • Understand and communicate the correlation between financial results and critical business drivers/measures
