Job Brief:
This is a position in the Model Implementation & Risk Architecture Team within Credit Modeling Analytics & Reserves (CMAR). This position is primarily responsible for the implementation and supporting of financial risk models that are coded in SAS. Initial work will be to support the coding of the reserve models for the Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) regulation in a SAS supported environment. Since most of the group uses SAS and many of the models are supported by SAS, this position presents a great opportunity for growth and the potential to serve as a SAS expert for the CMAR team of over 60 quants. Additional responsibilities will include data preparation and reconciliation as part of the CECL process and User Acceptance Testing as new features are released.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Work with financial modeling teams to review model requirements and updates
  • Provide development time estimates and implement requirements on SAS platform
  • Develop and support SAS applications to run automated jobs to extract data, perform statistical analysis, and generate reports.
  • Extract data and generate reports for special requests and projects.
  • Research and analyze data and model calculation issues.
  • Promote usability and software development best practices.
  • Potentially participate in MVC application development and support.
  • Communicate with SAS, Key Technology, and Model developers as part of the CECL implementation process.
Required Qualifications/Competencies:
  • Proficient in SAS and SQL programing with large databases.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Organized self-starter with the ability to think and work independently and creatively to meet strict timelines.
  • Deployment code in production and post-Production Support.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with key stakeholders across various teams.
  • Proven team player and an ability to work within a highly collaborative environment.
  • Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, or other analytically related discipline.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with SAS macros and ODS. SAS Certification
  • Advanced skills in Excel with knowledge of spreadsheet functionality and VBA.
  • Previous experience working in a financial analytics team.
  • Understanding of analytical database design and implementation.
  • Hands-On experience with C# and ASP.NET MVC.
  • Understanding of clean code software development practices.
  • Demonstrate high levels of service delivery.
  • Understanding of software development project life cycle
