Job Description


From time to time, travel to locations within the KeyBank mortgage footprint to conduct new hire training. Conduct other sales related training. Collaborate on training content and curriculum discussions and recommendations. Assist in the creation and updating of training content/materials.


  • Conduct new hire, in-person Empower training as needed (typically 4 days onsite at one of the fulfillment centers).
  • Conduct webinars to provide additional sales process and/or additional Empower training.
  • Conduct training for Loan Officers to prepare them for certification assessments, as applicable.
  • Assist with the development and updating of Empower and Sales Process training content/materials, partnering with Key’s Learning and Development Team as applicable.
  • Collaborate regularly with Help Desk Team to ensure understanding typical help desk calls and adjust curriculum and/or provide reinforcement of Empower training.
  • When available, attend weekly Help Desk meetings to discuss current trends, upcoming software updates and issues the Help Desk Specialists are experiencing to ensure training curriculum is accurate and up to date.
  • Stay current and up-to-date on changes to KBM policies, sales processes and Origination software system changes and updates.
  • Serve as a backup Help Desk specialist as schedule permits.
  • Act as a subject matter resource for the Loan Officers as needed.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment.


  • Candidate must have at least 3 years of mortgage related sales experience.
  • Ideal candidate will have at least 1 year experience in Empower
  • Ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience delivering training and developing training content.
  • Candidate must be able to travel to locations to conduct training within the KeyBank mortgage footprint as needed.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or related experience.
