Lead the strategic and tactical development of the corporate responsibility regional community engagement plans within the assigned footprint. The incumbent will ensure that local community engagement plans are developed and executed with the local market leadership. They will also be proficient at demonstrating the community and shareholder value of corporate responsibility activity.

The community engagement planning and execution efforts requires leading the definition and executional requirements in the areas of regional Community Benefits Plan performance, CRA assessment and remediation, community outreach and engagement and partnership with philanthropic program officers to ensure alignment with foundation strategies and community needs. They will Co-Chair community advisory committees and oversee those in the Region.

The Regional Officer will lead a staff of local Corporate Responsibility Officers that engage with the Regional Market President and local Market leaders to develop community engagement plans which require an assessment of market challenges and opportunities and how those impact Key’s brand and reputation as a responsible institution. The Plan will reflect our response to market opportunities and challenges, identification of remediation tactics where necessary and identification and referral of business opportunities in the market. Further the Plan will identify and build relationships with targeted COIs /partnerships that provide insight into Key’s reputation and brand in the community. It also requires the development of a plan to execute on issues of concern and measure progress.

Required Qualifications

  • Business acumen and commitment to profitably serving low and moderate income clients and neighborhoods in innovative ways.
  • Awareness and ability to articulate the community benefit and shareholder value of a strong corporate responsibility program.
  • Knowledge of the Community Reinvestment Act and the implications on the bank.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communications skills Demonstrated ability to effectively impact senior business leaders, non-profit boards/COIs and community based grass roots partners.
  • Demonstrated superior leadership, organizational planning and staff development skills
