KeyBank Integrated Payments Overview
The Integrated Payments Teams’ mission is to deliver Payment acceptance & disbursement solutions to our Software Partners & Clients. A critical component of this business is the Merchant Referral Partner Program. The Partner Program is a revenue lever that provides access to high growth companies with large pools of customers

The Partner Manager Role
The Partnership manager will be responsible for managing and scaling Key’s merchant referral business, particularly with Software/ISV partners. You will prospect, sign, & activate referral partners that will drive significant bottom line impact to Key. This is an exciting role that offers the opportunity to work with rapidly growing companies and new technologies in the software space. Partner manager must be results oriented & motivated to drive new business

What You Will Do
  • Become an expert in Key’s merchant product offerings
  • Drive prospecting efforts by developing strategies and working leads with sales teams
  • Manage referral pipeline across multiple channels – Tech/Software clients in the Technology Vertical & referral partners across all commercial client segments
  • Work cross-functionally to pursue, pitch and sign referral partners
  • Clearly communicate and articulate program value propositions to both clients and partners
  • Deliver client pitches alongside Business Development – demonstrate payments expertise, drive presentation content and aid in delivery of client pitches
  • Align KeyBank and partner incentives to drive merchant activation and growth
  • Post signing, aid in program setup/configuration at outset of referral partner relationships – for example, define operational rhythms around merchant targeting/conversion, define merchant onboarding processes, marketing and activation strategy, and set revenue share payment processes etc.
  • Work with account management, solution consultants and inside sales to grow partner relationships – you are responsible for activating merchant growth within each partnership by facilitating a smooth transition to our strategic account management team
  • Work with referral partners and KeyBank resources to create marketing campaigns & materials
  • Drive product management activities such as Third Party Management, Risk approvals, business case development, drafting legal agreements etc.
  • Oversee partner accounts payable (revenue share)
  • Further scale partnerships by exploring ways to deliver additional banking services

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 8 years minimum professional experience
  • Industry expertise in merchant services specifically as it relates to card payment processing, POS systems, gateways, eCommerce platforms, SaaS tools, payment processors etc.
  • Experience developing relationships with both external and internal partners
  • Experience delivering client facing consulting engagements or business development
  • Experience managing cross functional projects across multiple stakeholders
  • Technical skills developing compelling pitch materials in PowerPoint
  • Technical skills with financial modeling to estimate financial value for KeyBank and potential partners

Optional Qualifications
  • Technical expertise with merchant integration – selecting, testing & enabling gateways for software partners
  • Knowledge or expertise in Payment Facilitation and/or Bank Sponsorship
