Job Description

Quantitative Analytics Lead Associate, Technology Operations and Services to work in Chicago, IL: Evaluate and subsequently perform a broad range of quantitative risk analysis for monitoring anti-money laundering risks. Develop, design, and build AML models using SAS analytics and solutions software. Develop methodologies, test, process and provide ongoing monitoring and periodic tuning of developed AML analytical models. Research, compile and evaluate large sets of data to assess quality and determine suitability for model building. Follow strict prescribed ongoing monitoring schedules. Provide detailed analytical results to Model Owners and explaining any peculiar findings. Evaluate models for reliability and performance and providing feedback. Leverage SAS software to perform model reconciliation and testing activities. Execute “below-the-line” testing to evaluate threshold settings for alert generation. Write and review documentation to comply with company’s model governance standards and regulatory expectations. Attend department meetings to participate in discussions about team practices and share best practices at the direction of senior staff. Use of SAS, SQL, Python, R, and VBA. Requires a Master’s Degree in Statistics/Risk Management Analytics/Finance/Financial Big Data/Management/Analytical Finance (or equivalent based on evaluation of academic credentials, training and/or experience) as well as twelve months in job or job related experience to include develop, design, and build models; develop methodologies, test, process and provide ongoing monitoring and periodic tuning of developed analytical models; research, compile and evaluate large sets of data to assess quality and determine suitability for model building; follow strict prescribed ongoing monitoring schedules; provide detailed analytical results to Model Owners and explaining any peculiar findings; evaluate models for reliability and performance and providing feedback; execute “below-the-line” testing to evaluate threshold settings; write and review documentation to comply with company’s model governance standards and regulatory expectations; attend department meetings to participate in discussions about team practices and share best practices at the direction of senior staff; used SQL, Python, R and VBA.
