About the Position:
This position is responsible for the on-going maintenance, support, and development working with Key’s financial based applications. This team supports many lines of businesses and technologies providing this individual the opportunity to grow and develop skill sets across the mainframe and distributed platforms.
This position is for a mainframe developer who is looking to support our foundational platforms and is responsible for data analysis, enhancements, project changes, documentation, regulatory support (e.g. disaster recovery), consulting services, and on-call support.

Essential Job Functions:
Production Support Role:
  • Develop application/business knowledge required to earn the Trusted Advisor title from LOB partners
  • Work closely with the LOB to understand application growth needs and opportunities to implement process improvements
    • Requirements gathering, analysis, data / system design, coding (enhancements / new development), and testing
    • Strong Analytical Skills
    • Ability to work closely with dedicated project teams
  • Responsible for the overall application health, stability, and reliability for assigned applications
    • Implement sound technology solutions which adhere to good testing practices and Key standards
    • Troubleshoot and resolve application / system related issues
    • Monitor applications and recognize trends to proactively address issues
    • Look for and implement process opportunities to improve application performance and reduce high priority tickets
    • Maintain and execute Disaster Recovery plans to ensure successful testing / regulatory compliance
    • Access and mitigate risks in partnership with KET and LOB colleagues
  • Ability to collaborate with many teams across the Key’s technology to address a technology solution
    • Work closely with LOB, KET colleagues, as well as vendor
    • Strong Interpersonal communication skills
  • Implementation, coordination, and communication (support implementations of new vendor released software and changes associated with project efforts

    5+ Years of experience in a production support role in a mainframe application environment.

COBOL
Cobol/CICS
JCL/Procs
DB2
Distributed Platform Experience


Required Skills
Technical :
  • Extensive knowledge of Cobol /Cobol/CICS application code
  • Strong understanding of following technologies (Cobol, Cobol/CICS, DB2)
  • Strong understanding of databases and ability to query and analyze data (DB2)
  • Understanding of SAS, DYL, and Abinitio a plus but not mandatory
  • Ability to work closely with DBA’s with implementing DB changes
  • Strong understanding of code migration tools
  • Strong understanding of application environment - ability to address risk assessment and vulnerabilities identified by audit within defined deadlines. Develop solutions to avoid re-occurrences of findings.
  • General understanding and working knowledge of the distributed platform a plus
