Job Description

Reporting to the Key Private Bank (KPB) Sales Leader or Regional Sales Executive (RSE), the Private Bank Team Lead manages select positions within the Private Banking sales team to drive business results while also operating as a producing officer. The role will have leadership responsibility for a team of Wealth Advisors, Relationship Managers, Associate Relationship Managers, Client Experience Managers, Portfolio Strategists and Fiduciary Strategists (may vary based on market).

The Private Bank Sales Team Lead assists in leading the Private Bank sales team in delivering a differentiated client experience and providing comprehensive, integrated investment, trust, banking and planning solutions for generations of high net worth individuals and their families. Through a team based approach, these financial professionals deliver a differentiated client experience, based upon a personalized wealth plan, which simplifies the complex needs of clients to help them grow, preserve and transfer wealth and fulfill their specific long-term financial goals. Private Bank clients consist of:

• Family Wealth - Individuals with $10MM + in Investable Assets and/or $15 MM in Net Worth
• Core Private Banking - Individuals with at least $1MM Investable Assets or $5MM in Net Worth

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The role of the Private Bank Team Lead is to act as a player coach to the Private Bank sales team to develop a holistic understanding of each client’s needs, engaging the appropriate subject matter experts to provide solutions to meet those needs through:
Sales Management

• Coaches and directs the team sales efforts through utilization of KPB’s consistent sales process/tools, including a disciplined approach to prospect and client discovery, client need evaluation, proposal development and delivery as well as wealth plan formulation, execution, inclusive of an annual review.
• Leads the sales team in the adoption and utilization of KPB sales tools and reporting platforms. Acts as a champion for sales process execution and utilization of CRM technology to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of sales team.
• Maintains an in-depth knowledge of KPB products, services and technology as well as proactively acquires knowledge of competitors and competitive products to support the awareness of sales team.
• Effectively partners with other LOB Sales Leaders in market to drive delivery of KPB suite of services into all of Key’s business segments.
• Fosters an environment for learning/best practice sharing and accountability; drives the performance and sustained success of the KPB sales team.
• Team Leads are also responsible for prospecting and bringing in new business and client and COI referrals (team revenue goal will be adjusted accordingly).
Human Capital Leadership
• Manages talent assessment and acquisition and actively coaches sales force to deliver business results.
• In partnership with Private Bank Sales Leader, accountable for acquiring/building bench strength and development of a talent pipeline for Private Banking, including the development of strategic sourcing strategies and appropriate employee development and business training.
• Creates a positive work environment, establishes high standards for work quality and provides opportunities for career growth and job satisfaction to develop and retain a highly trained and motivated staff.
• Builds an effective, cohesive team based upon integrity, accountability and application of Key Core Values.
• Establishes and tracks performance objectives for team members; manages and evaluates staff performance to established objectives and differentiates performance.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in business related field (accounting, finance, economics, or related field).
• Minimum 8 years Private Banking, Financial Planning, Investment Management and/or Trust experience and/or progressively responsible and successful sales management experience, sales experience (preferred additional banking experience in operations/client services or other LOB areas to gain broader understanding of organizational structure and work flow).
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and deliver results for the market in LOB organization structure.
• Must have demonstrated ability to lead a high performing team with a focus on sales and exceptional client service.
• Proven coaching and leadership skills.
• Working knowledge of technology systems.
