1. Direct accountability for new business goal achievement
a. Generate new business through internal and external sources
b. Develop and work sales process to close sales opportunities
c. Work disciplined sales management process toward goal achievement:
i. Participate in bi-weekly sales execution meetings
ii. Work leads and call lists to generate new business sales
iii. Monthly sales plan review; including but not limited to sales performance
2. Demonstrate best-in-class sales behaviors
a. Understand and utilize defined sales process
i. Work with centers of influence to maintain referral relationships
ii. Develop relationships across business lines
iii. Follow policies and procedures to avoid errors and omissions
b. Define, Assess and improve sales competencies and skills
i. Understand and deliver needs based selling
ii. Identify commitment, needs, solutions and closing
iii. Deliver non-negotiable for the sales cycle
iv. Understand objections and process to overcome
c. Seek feedback and coaching to performance improvement
d. Seek professional development and education to enhance insurance knowledge and carrier knowledge
e. Uses time wisely and efficiently
3. Contributing member of Personal Lines Insurance team
a. Demonstrate and support the agency goals and initiatives
b. Support and lead ad hoc projects as necessary
c. Represent Personal Insurance across Key as requested by leadership
d. Works to promote pleasant office atmosphere
4. Must adhere to pertinent laws, regulations, Key’s compliance policy and external compliance requirements.


• High School Diploma or GED; College degree preferred
• Must have Property and Casualty license
• Must comply with all continuing education requirements including pictorials, INS, CISR or CPCU courses
• Requires 3-5 years sales experience
• Must have excellent negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
• Insurance experience preferred
• Ability to utilize computer programs and understand functionality
