Job Description

JOB BRIEF:

Provide back office support to the Key Investment Services sales force with the opening and maintenance of new accounts. Position involves working closely with other back office departments and KIS Central Supervision.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Review new account paperwork for accuracy and completeness
  • Review and process account maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Work with the sales force to obtain missing or incomplete documents
  • Respond to incoming phone calls from financial advisors
  • Research and resolve inquiries and problems as needed
  • Cross train on various functions within the Middle Office to provide back up and support
  • Ad hoc project involvement and/or assignments from management
  • Understand regulatory requirements as related to back office securities functions
  • Look for continuous improvement approaches where appropriate; assess processes and make recommendations for workflow improvement
  • Follow established procedures for compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Patriot Act regulations
  • Make quality decisions that sometimes come with incomplete or ambiguous information and under tight deadlines/pressure
  • Prioritize workloads and issues while working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Document and maintain procedures according to process implementation on new systems, including process flows, desktop procedures, and written supervisory procedures
  • Comprehensive understanding of risks and controls
  • Proactively share your knowledge to help others develop and to improve the performance of the team
  • Welcome constructive feedback and strive to improve your personal effectiveness based upon feedback


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College Degree or 3-5 years banking or brokerage experience
  • Ability to recognize and understand client issues and develop appropriate responses and solutions
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable with the ability to handle changing priorities to support the team as needed
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
