ABOUT THE JOB
Works on an as-needed basis and is paid on an hourly basis for time worked, with no benefits. Provide assistance to departments within the FHA Underwriting group as needed, not to work more than 1000 hours in a calendar year. Handle various analytical and clerical tasks on a temporary or as-needed basis, based on experience, capabilities, and/or availability.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist the FHA Underwriting group with special projects, to catch up on a back log of work, to deal with an influx of new loans, or meet client expectations for timing of completion of required functions.
Handle assignments based on availability and expertise with flexibility and willingness to handle various tasks as requested. Maintain open lines of communication with supervisor as to availability for work assignments, progress of work completed, and potential issues that may arise.
Keep accurate daily records of hours worked within Time Online.
Examples of tasks may include:
Act as the intermediary between FHA Underwriting and Closing department: obtaining final closing costs and handling input of closing costs in the Underwriting model.
Communicate new loan amounts to all involved parties: Closer, HUD, etc.
Write amendments to Firm Commitments to HUD

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Works well independently and is pro-active in handling job responsibilities
Strong organizational skills
Very detail oriented
Good communications skills, both written and oral
Proficiency in Excel and Word and familiarity with website navigation
Multi-task, handling a variety of duties
Work efficiently in a deadline-oriented environment
Possess strong interpersonal skills and professional conduct

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in commercial real estate underwriting and/or closing and a familiarity with loan closing documentation
