Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct a thorough due diligence review of Home Lending loan files; analyzing credit documents, income documents, assets, all applicable compliance documentation, etc to confirm eligibility
  • Monitor and maintain an application pipeline for loans in a Originaton destination within Empower
  • Directly communicate with Loan Officers and communicate clearly application deficiecies
  • Provide support to Sales partners and leadership
  • Maintain knowledge of industry compliance standard rules and regulations
  • Provide guideance, answer questions and act as a mentor to less experienced Mortgage Loan Originators

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possession of the following skill sets:
    • POS / LOS System competency
    • Mortgage competencies, including industry and product knowledge
    • Process/procedure understanding
    • Hands on coaching & mentoring
  • Show enthusiasm for residential lending and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding established goals
  • Build collaborative working with sales partners to ensure successful end result.
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 3-5+ years residential mortgage processing experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of PC (MS Windows and Office Products including Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Knowledge of RESPA guidelines, general knowledge of all mortgage and consumer lending regulations
  • Strong math and analytical skills
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of Conventional, Government and Portfolio products and corresponding program guidelines and necessary conditions for approval
  • Foundational knowledge of self employed income including tax return analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities with strong organizational skills.
  • Proven success working in fast-paced, high volume environments
  • Precise attention to detail
  • Ability to network and interact with others to build internal relationships to foster team environment.
  • Ability to handle competing priorities effectively and within established timeframes
  • High level of integrity and trust; must be a team player with a selfless attitude
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work varying hours and overtime if needed
