Job Description


  • Under direct supervision, responsible for performing routine research and analysis to support business operations.
  • Determines best practices and suggests how to improve current practices.
  • Assists in the development of recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations.
  • Additionally, may prepare presentations to report findings to a supervisor or project leader.
  • Responsible for daily monitoring of regulatory & operational risk items ensuring review, escalation and resolution
  • Understanding of system capabilities and operational procedures
  • Participate in process & efficiency improvement design discussion and development
  • Maintain an on-going understanding of the business units and their functions, processes, operations and customers
  • May perform remediation resulting from day to day business operations
  • Liaison with Fulfillment management providing real time feedback as issues are discovered
  • Ensures all efforts are properly documented, engaging Learning & Development partners with applicable
  • Execute at a professional level of communication and cooperation


  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience or equivalent work experience within the consumer mortgage banking industry
  • Demonstrated business and technical knowledge of respective business unit in creating integrated solutions.
  • Proven ability in the successful execution of essential job functions within a specific project.
  • Proven knowledge of consumer mortgage banking (could include operations, secondary marketing and/or sales).
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative partnerships among the business unit and internal partners. Ability to manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented environment; highly organized and flexible
  • Strong research skills with an attention to detail
  • Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills – Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Experience in analysis, basic statistical analysis
  • Ability to work independently and jointly in unstructured environments in a self-directed way
  • Ability to take a leadership role on projects and with business unit
  • Experience in research and analysis of data, market needs, and customer issues
  • Experience developing functional and non-functional requirements
  • Experience working closely with team members during development and product launch
  • Negotiation skills
