Job Description

JOB BRIEF: The individual is responsible for assisting the Key Investment Services Sales Force with depositing checks to client’s brokerage account.


  • Review all check’s received to verify accuracy of payee information.
  • Review and enter all physical securities received. Work with Clearing Firm to ensure all pending items are cleared and all required documentation has been received.
  • Ensure all check’s received are deposited same day. Maintain Non-Deposit log for all checks/securities that cannot be deposited. Provide to management for sign off.
  • Work with Clearing Firm to balance firm accounts.
  • Clear all returned items and resolve any debit balances that may occur as a result.
  • Ensure tax reporting for any checks received on Qualified Accounts is entered correctly. Resolve any issues with check’s deposited incorrectly by the field.
  • Maintain distance tracking log and provide system password, deposit tickets, and deposit stamps to sales force. Provide assistance and training on the check deposit system.


  • Ability to recognize and understand client issues and develop appropriate responses and solutions
  • Demostrate excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong typing skills
  • Education – High School Degree


  • Research and resolve escalated inquiries and problems, as needed
  • Cross train on various functions within the Middle Office to provide back up and support
  • Project involvement and/or assignments from management
