Job Description

The Market Risk Reporting Analyst supports a number of data analytics, report production and reconciliation functions for Market Risk Management. This will be a multifunction position responsible for reporting and analytics on Key’s derivatives and hedging portfolio. Candidate will ideally have previous back or middle office reporting experience or be a college graduate with proven skills in problem solving and team work. On-the job training and detailed procedures will be provided but the ideal candidate will be a self-starter and independent worker. The ability to identify problems, determine their root cause, and implement solutions is critical.

This position will be trained to Support and Help Analyze issues on the bank’s derivatives portfolio, including, but not limited to:

  • Preparation of the daily dashboard report that provides a look into hedge accounting ineffectiveness and compliance with Volcker Rule-derived limits.
  • Provide assurance/reconcilements verifying that hedge memos are completed for every hedge transaction.
  • Work closely with the back office to obtain and reconcile data on the monthly derivatives positions and complete management/accounting reporting for the monthly meeting with E&Y and Corporate Treasury
  • Analyze variances in all reporting and become adept at identifying and researching potential errors.
  • Treasury Ineffective income Monitoring and Hedge Effectiveness Testing


  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Bachelor Degree (BA / BS) or Completed equivalent college-level course work in business, computer science, finance, economics or similar field
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and find their root cause
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment


  • Knowledge of capital markets and financial products
  • Experience using financial software: Spectrum, Findur, Bloomberg, etc.
  • Knowledge trading operations
