The Senior Client Insights Consultant will function within the team dedicated to providing Research & Insights across the Key enterprise. This candidate will fully support the strategic priorities of all Line of Business partners and collaborate with many internal clients to better understand the financial needs, behaviors and overall client experiences of KeyBank’s customers and prospects. It is expected that the candidate will serve as a Research expert, acting as a consultant to understand the business objectives, develop and execute appropriate research solutions, and proactively bring insights and recommendations. This also involves synthesizing insights from across other primary research work and a variety of syndicated industry sources to tell a more holistic, client-centric story. The ideal candidate will be accountable, able to communicate, create and sustain business partner relationships and demonstrate expertise by being proactive and supportive of the challenges and needs of partners.


  • Collaborate with all lines of business across the Key enterprise, including the Research & Insights team to understand research needs and make recommendations
  • Translate business partners’ needs into research projects
  • Design and execute primary research projects, end-to-end, from research planning through analysis, report creation and presentation
  • Possess knowledge of various primary research methods, both qualitative and quantitative; be able to recommend appropriate methodology to garner relevant, actionable and timely insights
  • Fulfill ad hoc requests from across the enterprise, including Senior Level Executives
  • Conduct and synthesize research & insights in support of the Client Experience Office, including voice of customer and voice of employee programs
  • Deliver regular updates on key metrics and relevant insights to business partners to enable them to connect their own business to the enterprise
  • Prepare and present research findings & insights to various audiences, including Senior Level Executives
  • Collaborate with external research vendors and syndicated study providers to ensure work is being conducted efficiently and within budget
  • Engage with team members across Enterprise Business Analytics to bring added value to primary research insights


  • Proactively recommend new and innovative ways to enhance reporting of research results & insights
  • Bring experience and expertise from outside of Key and share with team
  • Continue to develop a deep knowledge of subject area; understand current events and trends within financial services and within the research industry


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Research, Analytical, Social Sciences or other related discipline
  • Graduate level coursework or degrees are a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years Market Research experience is required
  • Experience with analysis of survey research data
  • Working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Experience in team/collaboration environments
  • Proven ability to interpret research results, generate insights and communicate findings
  • Ability to prioritize and independently manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong business acumen with heavy emphasis on written and oral communication
  • Proven efficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SPSS and Tableau are a plus
