About the Job
Lead a team of business data analysts in the development and sharing of meaningful insights, actionable analytics, and applicable plans and/or corrective actions through various business analyses including advanced statistical and modeling so as to improve the strategy and tactics of KeyBank to drive profitability and customer centric improvements. Through the use of new ideas and innovative approaches to analytics, leads the organization towards optimizing and maximizing returns on current and future marketing and sales processes. Leads a team focused on sophisticated analytics and day to day data reporting for the Commercial Banking businesses.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute the strategic direction of Commercial Analytics through strong data analytics and leading conversations with business leaders in partnership with teams including sales & service and product & channel management.
  • Guide and execute analysis to deepen client relationships and convert prospects using internal and external data, contribute towards segment strategic planning process including sales management and service deployment
  • Drive analytics initiatives around investments and expense optimization
  • Develop recommendations to advise senior management on high-priority initiatives, including growth strategy, product and segment strategies, and cross business initiatives
  • Contribute to design and development of KPI metrics for measuring business success and scorecards
  • Provide actionable and insightful knowledge from advanced statistical modeling, data mining, customer profiling and quantitative analyses with the goals of: identifying cross-sell, up-sell, retention or acquisition opportunities, assessing opportunities to improve profitability, targeting the delivery of products and services to customers, validating and tracking model and campaign performance, developing next-best product and assessing customer behavior over time.
  • Oversee data driven marketing and sales analysis and campaigns by utilizing predictive modeling.
  • Participate in strategic decisions for a variety of customer segments while remaining sensitive to the customer touch point frequency. Establish test & learn strategy that drives optimization improvements across all sales life cycle programs
  • Lead meaningful insights, actionable analytics, and applicable plans or corrective actions through various appropriate advanced statistical and/or modeling analyses so as to improve KeyBank’s overall performance.
  • Drive customer-centric culture through data and analytics so as to provide the best possible experience for current and future customers.
  • Create a high performing culture focused on career development by identifying, developing and retaining top talent.
  • Ensure clear goals, expectations and accountabilities are understood and well managed throughout Commercial Analytics. Provide communication, leadership and coaching to develop teammates.
  • Successfully execute the strategic direction of Commercial Analytics for Client Life Cycle programs through strong analytics and modeling that drives efficient use of marketing dollars to effectively acquire and retain new and existing households.
  • Successfully provide actionable and insightful information and knowledge from advanced statistical modeling, data mining, customer profiling and quantitative analyses with the goals of: identifying cross-sell, up-sell, retention or acquisition opportunities, assessing opportunities to improve customer profitability, targeting the delivery of products and services to customers, validating and tracking model performance, developing next-best product, deposit and fee stress testing models, pricing optimization models and assessing customer behavior over time.
  • Build strong relationships with the key business partners
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Finance or Mathematics (MBA preferred)
  • 8+ years of quantitative analytics or statistical modeling experience, with at least three in a managerial role.
  • Extensive experience in modeling, analysis, market segmentation and data analytics
  • Experience creating, sending, and measuring sales and marketing campaigns, high regard for data integrity and ability to work with business partners in extracting actionable insights
  • Advance skills in SAS, R, Python, Quantitative Analysis and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with disparate data sources and platforms to access, define and structure the right data elements for strategic analysis
  • Strong problem structuring and analytic capabilities; ability to take a complex problem and organize it in discrete pieces for solution
  • In-depth understanding of the business and financial drivers for Investment Services is a plus.
  • Ability to work with a team of knowledgeable professionals and partners.
