Job Description

Please note that the team will consider remote workers who live within 50 miles of the KeyBank Patroon Creek facility in Albany, NY. They will also consider candidates for the Canton, Ohio location. Please note that if you are local to Canton, OH, the position will be in the office a minimum of 2 days a week when the team returns to the office location.

Job Brief:
​This position supports a highly performing, multi-process work team in completion of tasks related to the processing of consumer loan applications. Review credit applications on the Loan Originations System, following established department procedures, adhering to quality standards, and maintaining acceptable service level requirements.

Essential Job Function:
Review all Real Estate system approved and non-system approved collateralized loans for completeness and accuracy. Notify Key Center, Home Lending Center, or KeyBank Mortgage Officers of incomplete information and system approvals.
­Review credit bureau and make adjustments as required to clear duplicate reporting of debts, additional mortgages on real estate requests, route certain fraud warnings to Customer Identification Unit (CIU) to clear, add accounts for calculation of debt to income and verify recent credit inquires.
­Understand and identify Reg B, Reg Z, and Reg O applications and process according to Consumer Loan Center underwriting standards. Understand current Anti Money Laundering/Bank Secrecy Act policies and identify and report suspicious or fraudulent applications to the Fraud hotline.
­Follow-up with Key Centers on missing information.
­Review and process all real estate loan/line requests. Transfer flood and/or appraisal from existing files if possible. Start vendor work order process on system approved requests.
­Input subordination requests into the loan origination system and data enter all fraud rebook requests.
­Process all supporting documentation for Real Estate Loan applications. Route deals to the Underwriter with note of what was received or forward fax/email to appropriate area for processing.
­Process verification of employment requests using Equifax WorkNumber website portal. Download completed verification of employment requests.
­Complete other miscellaneous job functions as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
The ability to interpret data and good problem-solving skills
Experience in banking industry or mortgage industry (which can include real estate) or with consumer lending.
Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Knowledge and experience in use of MS Windows and related Office products.
Familiarity with use of Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.
Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
Typical work hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday however candidates must have the ability to also work 11:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. on a rotating basis (approximately 5 nights per quarter). Depending on business need, team members may have to work on Saturdays on occasion.
In business as usual environment, Albany, NY employees may meet approximately once per quarter at KeyBank's Patroon Creek facility.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Understanding of consumer loan products
Ability to accurately interpret credit reports
Ability to understand legal documents such as collateral titles, power of attorneys, mortgage deeds/notes and other various items that get sent to the CLC for processing
Minimum 2 years Consumer Lending/Mortgage processing experience
Knowledge of ACAPS, Outlook, Hogan, Black Knight MSP, ALS, and Empower Systems
