Enterprise Payments (EP) helps clients run their business better every day. The Payments Commercialization & Proposal Management (PCPM) team drives revenue within EP by delivering the best communications, product content, commercialization activities and digital sales enablement, in the best way, at the best time to empower our EP business development teams.

The Sr. Sales Enablement Specialist position will develop and execute product communications, marketing strategies and plans to increase market share growth for KeyBank’s consumer and commercial payment solutions. The role will focus on creating differentiated product positioning, packaging and value-based messaging. This role will develop and direct product packaging plans that drive market demand, enable the sales channel and accelerate program opportunities. By executing marketing programs, campaigns and sales support materials, this role acts as a key player to ultimately deliver new product sales, cross sales and client retention revenue to the organization.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, be able to work in a fast-paced environment and, most importantly, have a passion for delivering creative, compelling messaging, solution packaging, and campaign internally and externally, that are aligned to EP strategy. It is essential to be a strong, conceptual thinker who possesses a range of communication and marketing capabilities.

  • Understands organizational/sales objectives and collaborates with stakeholders to help develop campaigns, campaign goals and anticipated performance ROI. Develops campaign strategy and communications plans and implements all components for campaigns and reporting.
  • Ensures timely communication of campaign milestones and implications to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Determines business requirements for campaign dashboards and monitors and reports performance throughout the campaign period. Makes recommendations for enhancements for future initiatives.
  • Owns and manages solution packaging, positioning, marketing planning and execution, sales enablement and post-purchase adoption and usage for designated responsibility areas
  • Design and develop strategic sales collateral and messaging in support of the overall strategic business plan and growth goals
  • Own and execute on necessary client communications
  • Create and manage go-to-market plans for defined markets and/or solutions
  • Develop actionable solution packaging plans, timelines, and maintain consistent processes and tools to ensure timely and successful execution of sales collateral and solution packaging.
  • Create and/or source collateral in support of product launches, including web content, white papers, webinars, pitchbook materials, and other artifacts as needed; Help manage participation in key industry events (e.g. conferences)
  • Develop rapport and manage expectations with key internal stakeholders and senior leadership through regular communication and reporting on metrics and success of programs
  • Serve as a thought leader and strategist to deliver the value and output of our team across the enterprise
  • Execute solid product management practices; understand client behaviors, position and structure products and deliver expertise

Preferred Qualifications for Consideration
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, business or related field preferred
  • 10+ years marketing and/or communications experience
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Experience in B2B marketing/communications practices
  • Technology product marketing experience preferred, preferably in financial technology industry such as payments
  • Excellent written and verbal communications including the ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas
  • Design materials that align with brand standards
  • Experience excelling in a highly matrixed organization
  • Work collaboratively with a range of internal teams to create and manage integrated communications/marketing strategies
  • Plan, manage and prepare key messages for relevant audiences
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Versatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within changing priorities
  • Great interpersonal skills, capable of working with all levels of personnel
  • Self-motivation, proactive nature, team player mentality, with the ability to work with little supervision
