Job Brief:
We are seeking a high performing Project Manager, with depth of experience that can work autonomously, and demonstrate strong Key leadership competencies, to fill this role; which renders future growth opportunities. Project Manager will function as a Project Manager responsible for driving a project and/or a group of complex and related projects managed in a coordinated way, to obtain benefits and control that otherwise may not have been realized. The Project Manager may manage projects to the same level as a Project Manager and/or Lead Project Manager, with potential growth opportunities that may arise from time to time, to allow management of projects as a Project Manager Leader. Governs the Standard Project Lifecycle, providing project oversight and validating judgment, ensuring all Quality Milestones and Tollgate Reviews are timely and effectively performed and approving all standard project deliverables for appropriate content. The Project Manager will assist in providing training and coaching to other project managers on all aspects of the Standard Project Lifecycle, including the corporate standard database, EPPIC, and overall compliance to the PMO Standards and Project audit expectations. A critical aspect of the position will be working closely with the CIS Leadership Team, strategic stakeholders, and our Business Partners to understand their business/project needs and drive the projects accordingly. Ensures all participants of the Project understand the Standard Project Lifecycle and their required roles in the process. Develops and grows partnerships and foster relationships with senior functional managers and their management teams, participates in business unit planning activities, acquires relevant and comprehensive knowledge of subject matter to prioritize projects, solve business problems with appropriate solutions, and sets/receives direction to achieve business objectives. Provides tactical leadership of project demand, supporting business leaders and project managers in managing project scope, scope changes, objectives, requirements, deliverables, and value proposition to maximize return on investments, and maintain compliance with relevant standards.

Required Qualifications:
Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent preferred.

Experience: 3+ years of project management experience, including 2+ years of complex project management experience.

Essential Job Functions:

• Provides Team assistance in on-boarding new Project Managers, develops, and provides input on performance management activities in a manner supportive of positive employee engagement, development and retention of high performers.

• Monitors projects for adherence to the project lifecycle framework (e.g. Standard PLC, SDLC, etc.) and oversees the creation of project estimates, budget, timeline, tollgates.

• Accountable to negotiate and drive realistic requirements, budgets, resources, and timeline, and deliver the project portfolio on time and on budget.

• Cultivates a team environment of continuous learning to build business acumen, technical skills, and leadership behaviors in support of cross-enterprise opportunities.

• Accountable for effective capacity plan, utilizing internal/ external resources supporting an appropriate and relevant staffing model (e.g. core flex staff model).

• Manages, oversees and improves established project delivery performance by reviewing metrics and lessons learned, producing management reporting, and other reviews (e.g. scorecard) to maintain or grow project delivery performance.

• Supports business case development; performs project registration/consolidation/prioritization as required; creates funding plan; and administers project pipeline checkpoints to drive delivery and mitigate/resolve bottlenecks.

• Reviews and approves project budget proposals and subsequent budget change, where necessary; Oversees cost forecasting and actual tracking as well as variance reporting.
• Identification and ongoing tracking and monitoring of all Project Costs throughout the life of the Project.

• Ensures potential impacts to external client experience are addressed in project solution/plan.

• Assists with issue and conflict escalation; manages project portfolio dependencies and tracks/monitors/escalates as necessary; ensures project risks are escalated with corrective/mitigating actions.

• Ensures project teams have proper focus on change management planning, design and implementation including communication and training.

• Drive effective partner relationship management by acquiring comprehensive knowledge of the business by spending time with business partners; solving business problems; negotiating effectively to drive realistic requirements, budgets, resources and timeline; as well as offering credible challenges.
