Our team builds Key’s Online Banking, Mobile Banking apps and a number of other tools that bring the concept of Financial Wellness and Money Management to more than 3 million people across the country and from all walks of life.

On our Front-End Engineering team, you will have a dual role:
  1. Work as part of an Agile Squad, responsible for all work on a particular aspect of our Digital experience (we are divided into small teams called ‘squads’ with 2-4 Front-End developers on each)
  2. Belong to the Front-End Engineering Chapter, and build tools that our entire enterprise uses to create their own interfaces (including working on Key’s new Design System)

Act as primary owner for a section of our Online and Mobile Bank experience, designed and built using modern JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML and SASS/CSS
Lead a team of 1-3 Front-End Engineers assigned to an Agile Squad, including assigning work, performing code reviews, and providing coaching and improvement
Estimate, design and document front-end components in Angular
Mentor junior UI Developers, and provide training/guidance to other FE Engineers on specific areas of technology
Collaborate with UI and UX Designers on component designs for both the web and mobile
Responsible for designing and coding of Angular 5+ applications and components using best practices.
Develop and deploy mobile hybrid applications using Cordova
Work with other Front-End engineers on bank-wide projects that further the practice of UX Development
Work with other teams to review requirements and provide design documents to support a solution to the requirements.


4+ years of experience building complex Angular applications (including TypeScript) in a corporate environment (not including school)
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Experience leading a team of developers, assigning work and validating/verifying other developer’s work
Have built at least 3 HTML sites/applications using a framework like Bootstrap in the past, and can demonstrate the skills they needed to develop them, especially if they’ve created or customized a framework
Extensive experience using CSS Preprocessors (preferably SASS)
Embraced and contributed to a DevOps environment and have familiarity with build and deployment tools (Docker, Jenkins, etc)
Has experience writing automated test scripts, performing ADA evaluations (using aXeCore or similar) and managing build tools (Angular CLI, Webpack, etc)
Experience building mobile apps using Cordova (or other similar mobile development frameworks) or directly developing Native iOS and Android components

Evaluated, proposed and integrated a new framework or tool in a previous job, including experiences documenting pros/cons, making suggestions and developing business cases and strategic plans.
Some UX Design and Usability experience
Examples of using JavaScript and CSS animations to develop complex interactions (including GreenSock, SVG animation, etc)
Experience working with Middleware team to create Rest APIs used by the front-end code
