JOB BRIEF (PURPOSE)

The Key@Work Team Leader, will lead and manage a salesforce of Key@Work Relationship Managers to deliver on Key’s bank at work program; offering Key’s industry leading Financial Wellness program to business owners to provide to their employees as a competitive employee benefit. In addition to role of leader and coach, the K@W Team leader will be responsible for individual goals which will include the developing of new client relationships or expanding current client relationsships to provide banking solutions to the employees of business clients. This program uniquely positions business owners to help their employees improve their confidence in their financial goals which in turn leads to improved employee engagement, productivity and retention within their businesses. The Team Leader has a unique opportunity to lead one of Key’s primary client acquisition channels, helping to deliver on the client experience and household growth objectives

The Team Leader reports to the National Sales Manager for Key@Work. The position will manage a team of 4 – 6 RM’s that spans multiple Retail Regions within the network. Provides coaching and leadership oversight to Key@Work RM’s; demonstrates consistency in functions that align with the Key Sales Process and Consultative Sales Process Framework (Opportunity Management, Needs Assessment, Present/Pitch, Fulfillment, and Follow Up).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The role of the K@W Team Leader is to coach, develop, lead and motivate a team that is capable of delivering Key’s unique Financial Wellness Bank@Work program to business owners and their employees. As a player/coach the Team Leader will maintain an existing Book of Business and be accountable for achieiving individual K@W production results and is responsible for client development, sales, service and finanacial leadership through outside sales activities in a defined geographic area. The Team Leader and all RM’s are expected to act professionally at all times, conduct business ethically, avoid conflicts of interest and act in the best interest our clients and Key.

Sales Coaching & Leadership
• Engage in a disciplined approach to human capital by holding each Key@Work RM accountable for performance management as well as talent recruitment, development and retention. Provide training and recognize/reward team.
• Meet or exceed established client growth and profitability goals by ensuring the teams are using appropriate sales and service processes in all client interactions. This is accomplished through observational coaching sessions, joint sales calls and using the coaching model; developing/utilizing individual professional development plans by leveraging skills assessment for each direct report
• Ongoing inspection of the Key Sales Process and the Consultative Sales Process - Utilization of consistent sales processes/tools, development of internal/external centers of influence, prospecting, pipeline management and sales leads
• Conduct weekly sales meetings with K@W RM team to review pipeline and activities.
• Lead by example and ensure consistent delivery of distinctive service for all clients
• Participates in joint calls with Key@Work RMs to enhance selling skills and uncover opportunities – observational coaching
• Responsible for successful onboarding and training of new employees and ensures continued skill development and product knowledge
• Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of Key@Work products and services

Opportunity & Client Management

• Positively impacts consumer household growth through the delivery of the Key@Work program
• Builds trusting relationships with line of business partners to ensure that the Key@Work program is well- integrated in the business
• Develops a comprehensive understanding of client's and employee base; actively listens to concerns, presents a clear concise picture
• Schedules and manages appointments with current and prospective clients.
• Works with RM’s and Commercial Leaders to manage pipeline and ensure a sales strategy is in place. Employs a disciplined approach to prospecting and maintains an active pipeline of opportunities
• Identifies high value clients and prospects to call on and cultivate relationship with the RM- Performs joint calls with district LOB leaders, Business Banking and Commercial Banking RMs
• Meets or exceeds both individual and team performance goals (as assigned).
• Actively participates in Community organizations to source business development opportunities and demonstrate Key's commitment to the local community
• Through partnership impact, ensures the Key@Work program is incorporated into client relationship reviews
• Serves as liaison between corporate leadership team and the field to provide feedback regarding the sales process and the program
• Ensures that new client relationships consistently meet all compliance requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Undergraduate degree in business/related field or equivalent in work experience
• Three – Five years in a sales management role
• Proven comfort level and confidence regarding calling on business owners and decision makers, including senior level executives
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong presentation skills with the demonstrated ability to engage in and lead group interactive dialogue
• Three plus years demonstrated sales and business development experience with proven results
• Strong customer service skills
• In depth knowledge of financial products and banking regulations. Must be familiar with employee- focused products and services to maximize cross sell opportunities (Key Investment Services, Payworks, Health Savings Accounts, etc)
• Demonstrated ability to provide business development coaching support
• Ability to maintain balance in a high-paced environment and effectively organize priorities
• In depth knowledge of financial products and banking regulations
• Demonstrated experience with and broad understanding of personal and commercial financial statements
• Proficient in personal computer applications
