Job Description

The Key4Green Business Development Officer partners with Key Community Bank, Relationship Managers in the KeyBank franchise to provide Key4Green Lending (K4G) financing to current and new KeyBank clients.
  • Relationship Manager’s and Centers of Influence (COI’s) first point of contact
  • Assemble and develop deal teams for each transaction
  • Client engagement and conversations
  • Lending facility identification and structuring
  • Understanding and coordination of incentives, grants, loan guarantees and other programs
  • Support credit activities as needed
  • Manages interaction with product partners to include Term Sheets
  • Supports Relationship Manager’s through loan/lease documentation process and supports post closing activities
  • Calls on centers of influence within his/her assigned geography to stimulate deal flow
  • Manages and is responsible for referring client relationships within the Business Development Officer’s market across business lines
  • Coordinates referrals to other Key4Green Business Development Officer’s outside of assigned territory, while managing all referral activity to Centers of Influence
  • Identifies and directs cross selling and prospecting activities.
  • Focuses on generating incremental revenue and maximizing profitability.
  • Markets within the KeyBank franchise to keep Relationship Manager’s aware of Key4Green Group’s capabilities and success stories.
  • Attends industry related functions to heighten awareness of KeyBank.
  • Attends marketing meetings of KeyBank relationship teams within assigned geographic territory.
  • Provides market intelligence and technical assistance to support partners when requested
  • Bachelors degree (or MBA) in Business or Finance/Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Banking with a demonstrated knowledge of the Energy, Energy Efficiency and Renewable (EE&R) lending products and process
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Energy, Energy Efficiency and renewable (EE&R) lending business development in a bank environment
  • Understanding of the Bank’s risk appetite
  • Demonstrates relationship building and consultative sales skills
  • Demonstrated success in new business development
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of multiple business line products and lending structures
  • Understanding of EE&R tax incentives, grants, loan guarantee and incentive programs
