Job Description

The Municipal Inside Sales Representative for Key Government Finance provides state and local governmental end users and their vendors with financial solutions for acquiring equipment and other related services. The equipment financed includes collateral such information technology, medical devices, energy production, software and vehicles. Proposals for various lease and loan structures must be designed, presented and brought into fruition in a compelling manner. The abilities to effectively communicate financial terms and manage complex multi-company business relationships and processes are the keys to success. Creating and closing business in a demanding transactional environment provides a daily professional challenge and sense of accomplishment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
  • Build strong working relationships internally and externally, and utilize territory management skills in order to meet or exceed set business objectives.
  • Review and interpret municipal financing agreements; facilitate contract changes
  • Issue and negotiate lease proposals and respond to vendor and end-user inquiries in a timely fashion.
  • Develop capable and proficient structures that balance the vendor’s/end-user’s needs with that of KGF’s financial, underwriting and operational requirements.
  • Lead cross functional activities to finalize underwriting, leasing terms and conditions, and funding in a timely fashion in accordance with delegations of authority.
  • Prepare transactions for credit submittal; clearly summarize contract risks, mitigants, pricing and essential use information
  • Present KGF capabilities to vendor partners; act as subject matter expert in order to solicit municipal financing opportunities in accordance with jointly prepared business strategy with field sales rep.
  • Set appropriate and realistic expectations, both internally and externally, regarding transaction conditions and turn times.
  • Maintain and report prospecting and pipeline activity, as needed, through online sales management tool in order to produce a timely and accurate forecast.
  • Develop quota attainment business plan and or account penetration strategies in conjunction with assigned field sales rep for target accounts and provide management with report of progress.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or Economics
  • Minimum 5 years field sales experience in the municipal and or finance market
  • Comprehensive knowledge of municipal finance financial analysis and risk, tax and legal principles
  • Thorough knowledge of municipal finance documentation and processes; prior municipal financing contracting experience preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with customers at all levels, able to synthesize complex issues and communicate simple messages.
  • Strong negotiating skills and experience in negotiating municipal financing terms and conditions.
  • Excellent people, presentation, organizational, relationship, and communication skills.
  • Candidate preffered to be located in Superior, CO
  • Willingness to travel 10%-15% of the time
