Job Description

Laurel Road, a brand of Key Bank, is part of the expanding FinTech space: we offer Mortgages, Student Loans, and Personal Loans through a digital online experience, https://www.laurelroad.com. We simplify the process for both borrowers and bankers, while increasing choices of products, improving tracking, and offering a positive banking experience.

The Manager of Mortgage Sales leads a team of Mortgage Loan Officers for the Physician Mortgage Program with Laurel Road. The Mortgage Sales team is responsible for mortgage originations through Laurel Road's referral sources from the medical professional community.

Responsibilities for this role:
  • Lead customer research efforts to develop new product constructs and willing strategies – research will be a mix of qualitative and quantitative
  • Develop new value propositions for specific customer segments that will enable growth of the Laurel Road national online bank
  • Develop pricing methodologies, models and combinations of lending, deposit and payment products to develop truly differentiated value propositions geared towards specific customer needs
  • Partner with KeyBank and Laurel Road colleagues to develop feasibility assessments and servicing models for new product concepts
  • Develop a product roadmap and rollout strategy for the national online bank
  • Develop relevant business cases and forecasts for new product constructs to align on opportunity and sell-in to senior management
  • Lead project management for the rollout of new products for the online bank
  • Ensure customer value propositions are compelling and competitive on an ongoing basis
  • Hire and manage a high performing team of 3-5 product and project managers who will partner with Laurel Road’s engineering, marketing and operations teams as well as cross functional teams within KeyBank more broadly to ensure successful product rollouts
Qualifications:
  • Strong background in banking, consumer finance and lending products
  • Highly strategic with the ability to take projects from concept to launch
  • A self-starter mentality – motivated by upside potential
  • Strong analytical skills with deep experience in product pricing and the ability to assess opportunity and develop business cases
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to mobilize direct reports and cross functional partners
  • Must be highly collaborative with both internal and external partners
  • Enthusiastic and optimistic – must be able to demonstrate resilience and ability to problem solve in order to work around obstacles in a respectful way
  • Digital product experience is a plus
  • MBA is a plus
  • Cleveland applicants, please note that some travel to New York City is required.
