Job Description

The Solar Lending Governance, Reporting & Risk Oversight Lead reports to the Head of Residential Solar Lending and is accountable for end to end governance of the business while also ensuring an appropriate risk and control environment exists for the residential solar lending program with critical partners, such as Credit, Compliance, and Operational Risk, Business Risks and Controls, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Operational Balance & Control, and Technology. In addition, this Lead will support the solar lending team with defining growth strategy while identifying opportunities to simplify processes and create efficiencies / synergies.

Essential to this position are: an entrepreneurial mindset, ability to build consensus among critical stakeholders, project management leadership capabilities and an accountability to ensure that a sustainable operating model exists within Key’s moderate risk profile.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The Solar Lending Governance, Reporting & Risk Oversight Lead will also be responsible for maintaining strong relationships

•Manage Solar Lending Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program; including but not limited to identification of risk and the appropriate mitigation through controls, development of testing procedures and documentation of results.
•Build a strong relationship with risk and business partners to understand significant business processes and identify ways to simplify and increase efficiency.
•Partner with third party (originations and servicing) vendors to collect, review, manage and escalate complaints, and develop comprehensive complaint reporting.
•Support change/growth initiatives for the solar lending program
•Enhance internal policy and procedure governance and oversight
•Streamline internal and external reporting required to support originations and servicing processes; and leverage reporting insights to drive business decisions
•Further refine monthly business unit review (BUR) reporting and co-lead the BUR with third and fourth parties and all critical stakeholders to ensure alignment of both business strategy and tactical execution plans.
•Support the solar business in effectively managing vendor relationships in accordance with KeyBank’s Third Party Management Program requirements
•Monitor competitive, legal, industry and economic environment to determine the impact of new or emerging business models, products, services, or pricing on Key’s operating model

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

•Bachelor’s degree in business, with accounting, finance or economics required. An advanced degree is preferred, but not required.
•3-5 years experience in Product Management, Compliance and/or Business Risks and Controls with an emphasis on compliance and risk management
•Solid understanding of risk and control assessment
•3+ years experience in the financial services industry is required
•Proven leadership experience with an ability to collaborate effectively while managing risk
•Ability to establish and maintain effective collaborative partnerships across multiple teams / groups – this will include both internal and external partners
•Excellent interpersonal, leadership and organizational skills, in addition to attention to detail, and advanced written, verbal and presentation skills
