Job Description

Performs various functions related to organizing daily flood production activity for the Centrilzed Flood Team. Candidate will organize, monitor, and deliver reporting to appropriate levels of management on all Loan Services flood activity, including reporting required for ongoing compliance and regulator audits.

Successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of Federal Flood regulations and industry standard real estate lending due diligence. The person filling this position will adhere to service levels, quality goals and department procedures, as well as providing excellent customer service.
  • Monitors activity, organizes data, and develops reports for all Loan Services flood related activities
  • Serves as the subject matter expert/lead contact for Flood related audits involving 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line of defense, as well as outside exams performed by regulator agencies.
  • Serves as the Subject Matter Expert for all flood related compliance polices and procedures
  • Tracks and reports exceptions related to flood compliance to the Management Team and Line of Business partners
  • Maintains detailed records of steps taken to ensure flood compliance
  • Completes annual reviews of flood procedures for accuracy and completeness
  • Stays up to date on flood regulations, incorporating best practices and instituting department changes as needed to maintain compliance
  • Builds a network of internal/external resources to help achieve goals
  • Diminishes risk to corporation by ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Consistently develops knowledge base of internal and external processes
  • Runs small and medium projects
  • Leads team meetings
  • Handles escalated requests from team members, internal, and external clients
  • Develops and conducts ongoing audits of processes and procedures of third party vendors who provide flood related services, including Flood Determinations, Life of Loan flood zone tracking, flood insurance tracking, force placement of flood insurance, and Replacement Cost Value determinations
  • Effectively communicates with the team to improve overall quality and compliance
  • Reviews workflow queues in KeyView to ensure all workflow items are handled within service level standards
  • Effectively communicates with the team to manage workflow responsibilities
  • Demonstrates personal effectiveness including the ability to get results in team environment
  • Responsible for onboarding and coaching of new team members
  • Provides feedback and input to managers for team members’ DHPs

  • Reviews flood insurance policies to ensure Federal regulations are met
  • Provides approval to release loan documents, and disburse funds based on receipt of appropriate flood due diligence
  • Orders and reviews flood determinations
  • Mails Notice to Borrower letter to clients
  • Ensures Notice to Borrower is executed by appropriate parties prior to signing of a Note
  • Inputs flood related data into multiple loan accounting systems
  • Oversees flood insurance force placement process
  • Researches requests to the appropriate conclusion and effectively communicate the results
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 plus years Flood Insurance/Lending/Compliance specific experience
  • Advanced PC skills and ability to use MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to conceptualize, and develop process testing and results reporting
  • Regulatory compliance knowledge with respect to real estate lending and consumer or commercial loan documentation
  • Advanced knowledge of Federal flood regulations
  • Ability to successfully work in web based applications and on-line image enabled work queues
  • Proven ability to comprehend and perform complex activities independently
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving/decision making skills
  • Knowledge of consumer or commercial credit policies and products
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles

  • Working understanding of KVD, CLS, ALB, CWA, BBC, SBU, Laser Pro, Tsoft, ALB, CRINT, Commercial Worksheet, Obligor DB, Negotiable Collateral DB, Hogan, Lotus Notes, APA and Word Templates
  • Understanding of loan accounting systems
  • Able to read and interpret legal documents
