Job Description

We are looking to hire a full-time Associate in Equity Research in New York City. We considering individuals out of business school (BBA/MBA or with a Masters in Finance degree) who have strong accounting/modeling skills as well as strong writing/communication skills.

We look for the following skill-sets in our ideal candidate:

Attention to Detail: work entails ability to process notable amount of data from SEC documents, regulatory filings and company reports in an organized fashion and with minimal errors.
Strong Excel Modeling Skills: renewable and yieldco models are fairly complex in their structures and require strong excel modeling skills and confidence around complex forecasting. Some professional experience around excel modeling is therefore preferred.
Familiarity with SEC Filings: a basic but solid understanding of 10Qs/10Ks is required, alongside ability to discern basic accounting ratios tied to profitability and asset turnover.
Strong Accounting Background: at least some formal accounting academic training (BBA or accounting courses in school) is required, and preferably, 1-3 years of direct/indirect accounting experience as well.
Ability to Communicate Effectively: strong written communication skills are required, as well as confidence around verbal articulation of a thesis.
Strong Organizational Capabilities: the role of a research associate requires the ability to filter and organize information efficiently and thoughtfully. We are looking for an individual who enjoys continuously improving information gathering and compilation techniques, as well as analyzing the underlying data.
Ability to be Resourceful: the renewables and yieldcos space is a rapidly evolving area of development and we are looking for individuals who are resourceful in tracking and staying ahead of such developments.

Hands-on Training
We intend to provide hands-on training through our associate development program, which include mentoring, CFA certification financing and new technology/data oriented training initiatives. Training is also provided through exposure/interactions with senior managements of some of the top entrepreneurs within the sector, as well as learning through trade shows/conferences and events.
