ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)

Manages the relationship between the EPMO (Enterprise Program Management Office) team and the Commercial and Institional lines of business to enable quality execution of programs and projects. Understands strategic direction of businesses and related priorities. Proactively supports the team in identifying areas where the EPMO can be leveraged effectively. Leads a team of 2-3 employees to influence business leaders and related partners to adopt a strong execution focused mindset and related tools and methods. Is assigned 1-2 Programs and leads them independently, while building strong capability in project team members. Consults with business leaders and others on practical approaches to improve execution on smaller projects and business processes. Reports to the EPMO Director.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Relationship Management
  • Develops and grows partnerships, fosters relationships with senior functional managers and their management teams
  • Partners with business leaders to prioritize programs and projects to ensure success.
  • Recommends appropriate resourcing to support prioritized items – within and outside of EPMO team.

Team Development
  • Invests in staff and creates a culture of growth, teamwork and recognition
  • Is a talent manager - provides coaching and direct feedback to team members to enable their success.
  • Pursues a consistent brand delivery across EPMO team members
  • Assigns work to team members based on priorites of business and EPMO vision

Execution Champion
  • Champions a culture of execution quality across Key. Embodies execution principles in own work and coaches others to embody them.
  • Is an ambassador for the strategies and tactics of the EPMO team and implements them within assigned businesses.
  • Actively provides feedback to others on areas of opportunity in execution quality. Is candid; does not shy from challenging dialogue meant to improve execution across the organization

Program Management
  • Leads one or more programs in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The Program usually impacts multiple Lines of Business (LOB), multiple functional areas, is large in scale and complex, may span multiple years, usually involves senior-level sponsorship (and sometimes executive level sponsorship) and may include steering committee.
  • Defines and manages program scope, scope changes, objectives, requirements, deliverables, and value proposition that support the diverse business goals and interests of multiple stakeholders
  • Develops integrated program plan; identifies and manages program dependencies and critical paths; and tracks/reports program milestones as well as status
  • Supports development of change management planning, design and implementation including communication and training.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required. PMP, Agile, ADKAR and other execution delivery methods preferred

Experience: Five or more years of complex project management or strategy implementation experience. Consulting experience and knowledge preferred. Knowledge of Commmercial and Institutional Banking preferred.
