Job Description


  • Develop a commanding understanding of our Home Lending Originations technology stack and associated integrations
  • Raise our collective technical engineering IQ and help foster a DevOps mentality within our team
  • Work with architects, analysts, software and test engineers to bring efficiency and automation to our continuous delivery practices
  • Drive technical design and delivery of cross-platform solutions
  • Own the improvement and outcomes of all technical aspects of our Home Lending
  • Originations technology stack including performance, stability, supportability, scalability, extensibility, security, and compliance
  • Understand the Home Lending Originations business processes
  • Understand the technology landscape and trends in the Home Lending Originations space and apply to the KeyBank environment where applicable
  • Understand the Microsoft technology stack and ensure contemporary application of that stack in the Home Lending Originations environment

  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft.Net technology stack including .NET Framework and .NET core
  • Advanced knowledge and application of the C# programming language within the .NET stack
  • Advanced knowledge and application of the Microsoft SQL Server
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft compute technology (IIS, Azure, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of contemporary services-oriented architecture patterns
  • Advanced knowledge of contemporary design patterns
  • Leadership/mentoring ability
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) complex technical ideas to less-technically savvy individuals
  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 5-7 years of technical delivery and/or programming experience


  • Experience in large, diverse technology environments
  • Home lending originations experience
  • Black Knight Empower knowledge and experience
  • Agile/Scrum experience
  • Experience with continuous delivery pipelines and devops practices
