About the Job:
KeyBank is looking an experienced, digitally-oriented analytics leader to lead insights and analytics initiatives for the digital transformation effort across the organization. Key is investing in a multi-year initiative to increase the share of digital sales and this role is an important element of this investment. This person will serve as the leader of the Digital Analytics team, which currently comprises three analysts but is expected to grow significantly in size. He/She will partner with digital platform and line-of-business leaders to define and enable the creation of key digital platform metrics, generate insights from metrics in an agile manner and make recommendations to improve digital client experiences across all business segments. This leader will also lead the decision and data framework to enable intelligent, data-driven interactions in digital touchpoints. He/She will generate strategic insights on digital and cross-channel behavior to inform future platform investments, product capabilities and marketing strategies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and expand a team of data analysts and digital product analysts to deliver insights across all digital platforms (KeyBank online, originations and servicing)
  • Provide performance metrics, decision-support tools and strategic insights leveraging a variety of data sources
  • Deliver data / analytics on new product features, perform escalated product-level analysis, identify product improvement opportunities, in partnership with digital platform squads
  • Develop the decision framework to enable data-driven client interactions in digital channels, leveraging propensity models, business rules, client behavior and financial proformas
  • Lead the development of site tagging standards and implement tagging solutions to enable key performance metrics, consistent with industry best practices
  • Manage a matrix of platform priorities while maintaining cross-platform visibility, lead multiple projects in order to reach long/short-term goals and serve as the primary contact for platform partners
  • Collaborate with analytics teams within Enterprise Business Analytics and other teams across Key to leverage expertise on business intelligence, decision sciences, marketing campaign design and analytics data assets
  • Track and leverage emerging trends in digital metrics, cross-channel client behavior and best-in-class components of the underlying technology stack
  • Communicate analyses and recommendations clearly and responsively to a range of departmental and organizational stakeholders—to inform and to enable business strategies and investments

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or other scientific field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of analytical experience in consulting, business or related field
  • Experience in an analytical role deriving and communicating insights from quantitative data
  • Prior experience in measurement techniques such as control groups, attribution, A/B testing
  • Understanding of digital data, site tagging and digital technology stack
  • Strong eye for detail and a passion for quickly delivering results for rapid action
  • Excellent written, verbal, scientific communication and time-management skills
  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative and agile environment
  • Proficiency with SQL and R or Python, knowledge of JavaScript
  • Ability to engage senior leaders in discussions about their strategies and priorities, and to ask relevant questions that lead to actionable insights

  • Consumer banking experience, particularly with consumer savings and/or lending products
  • Experience with site tagging tools such as Adobe, Ensighten
  • Prior leadership or management experience, or other experience developing people
  • Experience with Spark and other big-data solutions
