POSITION SUMMARY: The Digital Lending Senior Product Marketing Manager will play an important leadership role as the lead point of contact for Laurel Road’s Student Lending Platform driving lead generation and conversion optimization. The Senior Product Marketing Manager will work closely with Engineering, UX Design, Customer Service and Underwriting to support and inform the product roadmap and upcoming release schedule with the overarching goals of increasing key conversion metrics and delivering a best-in-class customer experience. The position will also lead the marketing plan strategy and execution across multiple acquisition channels, educational content development, customer insights, competitive intelligence, budget, forecasting and reporting for the product. The position is responsible for helping to inform product enhancements and ensuring the highest level of quality and consistency across marketing channels while developing and driving breakthrough marketing strategies.
  • Operates as marketing point of contact for Student Lending Products.
  • Works closely with cross-functional team to influence and inform student loan product road map and upcoming release schedule, addressing applicant feedback and insights from competitive platforms with product enhancements and workflow improvements.
  • Collaborates with marketing channel owners to design and implement marketing plans that generate interest and drive volume through integrated channels including, but not limited to, direct mail, email, refer a friend, digital, and events.
  • Liaises with product and channel stakeholders to develop and manage product-specific forecast and budgets.
  • Analyzes the effectiveness of marketing activities and adjusts future strategies and forecasts accordingly.
  • Contributes to the design of detailed customer journeys and works closely with Engineering and UX Design to implement automation that facilitates those journeys within the platforms and Marketing Automation tool.
  • Creates compelling and educational product and customer content in partnership with creative team.
  • Monitors customer insights, development and satisfaction and creates action-oriented plans to address feedback including but not limited to working with Engineering on platform enhancements.
  • Stays informed and up-to-date on product related competitive trends and insights.
  • Ensures quality and consistency of all marketing materials prior to market implementation.
  • Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.

  • Strong team player who can build strong working relationships, collaborate effectively across the marketing team and multiple stakeholder groups, and levels of leadership.
  • Experience developing and executing an end-to-end marketing plans.
