The Default Strategy & Analytics Manager is responsible for supporting Default Management in Loan Services. The manager leads a team of analysts in the Reporting, Analytics & Support shared services center. The primary objective of the Default Strategy & Analytics team is to develop insights and analytics to optimize default & recovery strategies.


  • Establish collection and recovery strategies with management, monitor and improve performance.
  • Oversee workforce management and identify efficiencies.
  • Support a culture of analytics to drive continuous improvement, improve client experience, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Effectively lead a diverse team of professionals in a climate of high demand and ongoing change.
  • Partner with Loan Services managers, as well as stakeholders in Product, Risk, Technology, etc.
  • Effectively communicate project status on a regular basis through various means. Provide updates and presentations to senior leadership.
  • Mentor other analysts to enhance their knowledge and experience, resulting in higher performance; identifies and provides learning opportunities to other analysts.
  • Identify opportunities and propose changes to enhance operating efficiency and service delivery.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Management Information Systems (or equivalent experience).
  • Established leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to perform data analysis, develop recommendations, and communicate to senior leadership.
  • Experience in analytic tools (e.g., SAS, SQL) and statistical analysis
  • Expertise in default management (collections & recovery, loss mitigation, foreclosure/REO, repo/remarketing, etc.)
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple, complex assignments with competing deadlines; proven ability to prioritize commitments, assign tasks and follow up on assignments.
  • 5+ years consumer lending / default management experience.
  • Knowledge of lending regulations.
  • Knowledge of lending systems, including Black Knight MSP, Oracle Banking Platform, CACS/CAS.
