Job Description

This position is responsible for the Line of Business level maintenance of the definitions, descriptions, hierarchies and quality of customer level data elements. The enterprise data quality of our Master Data relies on the data stewards owing and performing consistent tasks for (7) core dimensions; Accuracy, Conformity, Completeness, Consistency, Timeliness, Uniqueness, and Validity for customer relationships. This role is critical in Key’s pursuit of timely and accurate client data.

The Data Steward is responsible for providing Subject Matter Expertise as it relates to Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Management. The Data Steward will act as a chief custodian of CRM and related systems data and is responsible to ensure all data is accurate, properly authorized and integrated between all relevant systems. We are looking for an inquisitive and detail-oriented Data Steward with a passion for assessing and improving data and information quality, and to support our customer-oriented systems and processes.

Job Description
Responsible for the customer level business definitions in the Data Encyclopedia. Provide expertise in the area of data assigned to them using an enterprise lens. Support the planning and analysis of complex business data usage problems and can anticipate and solve data capturing issues. Identifies and escalates issues in Key’s overall data environment, in addition to partnering to implement break-fixes and enhancements. Authority on specific LOB systems and how data elements flow in and out between a variety of systems. Maintain accurate data across multiple systems and businesses (shared clients) within established ranges established by Data Management/Governance team. Store all data in agreed upon standard format. Ensure all client data attributes conform to established requirements. Monitor data changes; do the data elements fit together over time and across related tables. Maintain client records to achieve 100% unplanned duplicate client records. Identify and raise issues quickly to Data Management/Governance- strong critical thinking skills. Deep understanding of LOB clients and systems that capture data- strong systems thinking skills. Participates in regularly scheduled and ad hoc Data Steward meetings, forums, work groups, and educational sessions. Participates in training and meetings to facilitate the sharing of data across functional areas and understanding of stewardship best practices. Be the Gate Keeper in maintaining consistency and accuracy of all mastered customer data and other data domains. Improve efficiency and lower business risks by ensuring that the highest quality data is delivered managed and maintained via data management/governance strategy. Define data critical attributes and partner with Enterprise Data Management to develop data standards, procedures and policies for master data. Perform ongoing analysis of the current master data processes and partner with Enterprise Data Management to develop strategies working with key stakeholders to improve process efficiencies and improve overall satisfaction of internal customers. Work within the line of business to develop and maintain data quality rules, procedures and policies. Leverage dashboards/metric reports and conduct
data analysis to measure effectiveness of data governance program within organization. Resolve and escalate data quality issues, research and implement solutions to correct problems at the source where possible. Implement and lead data cleansing activities. Enter and maintain master data and provide guidance to other data team members to support business processes. Coordinate flow of information within line of business. Champion change management and provide training. Support the KPB Strategy and Implementation team as needed, including but not limited to report development to support KPB business unit.


Requirements:
  • 0-3 years of experience
  • College Graduate (Finance, Business, Technology oriented)
  • Excellent Excel and Data Management skillset
  • Multitasking, being able to operate in multiple data systems at one time
  • Speed, Quality, and Strong Work Ethic to handle large volumes of data cleanup
  • This role will ensure the data quality of client records and households that will be utilized to populate the Wealth Line of Business’s CRM
